I think it'd be funny if you'd run into the council in ME 3 and they are already working on counter measures for the reapers and Shepard asks "I thought you had dismissed in the Reaper threat!"

And the Turian council member says "You didn't think we were really that stupid, did you? You were working for Cerberus. We couldn't risk telling you our most secret plans to deal with the reaper invasion."
