It makes me think... After 3-4 months after the release of ME2 shouldn't they have come up with what to do with ME3. I mean, wouldn't they have decided what to do with the ME2 squad?

They might have the engine finalised, the story arc finalised, but the scripting , side missions, general gameplay and tweaks can be chopped and changed a bit yet.
Look at what they changed from ME1 to ME2 from fan feedback (Tali for example).  I imagine they've still got a few more months before they finalise exactly how ME3 is going to look / feel / play.

It is possible to have skewed results due to double entries, but nonetheless informative.

Overall though, this is just for fun. I asked for them to sticky this, but I'm not sure what they will do.

EDIT: Also, first poll is closed. We ended @ 456 votes. I will update the results chart soon.

It's interesting, but it comes too late to be representative for anyone but longtime/diehard fans.

I'm also missing the obvious option in the question of what is the best aspect of ME2: not only in my opinion, I think, it's the squadmates and their stories in general, the whole mix of conversations, recruiting and loyalty missions that gave the characters their profile.

Thanks for the feedback, I will have the results of the 2.0 poll later today.
Again this is mostly for fun, if BioWare wanted to use some of the info, then cool, but if not, then I just think it is fun to learn what everybody wants and to see how this forum generally feels about both games and ME3.
Thanks for voting again.
@Ieldra2, I agree with you, and also based on the results of both polls, it is clear the people on the forums now are mostly die-hard fans. Wait until you see the results of this latest poll. Posted Image

What are the white areas in the results spreadsheet? There weren't any questions about that in the poll, so where do the results come from?

Its a very well done poll and it looks very professional. I hope we get something about of this one. Nice job.

Shows how looks can be deceiving. There are some serious flaws. For instance, the whole area of the so-called "rpg elements" is useless, because almost everyone has a different opinion about what these are. Then there's the fact you can take part more than once, and that only longtime fans are active on the forums right now, which influences almost all answers. Continue: missing options which are important because they have been frequently voiced in the forums (I've counted at least three). And so on...

It may be a fun thing to do, but "professional" is different. Very different.

I really want to see these results in a pie chart when this is over.

Anyway, you realize there's nothing keeping folks from voting more than once. That needs to be taken into account.

I am glad you asked.

The very first questions is what I call the "branch" question. It takes you to a more detailed follow up question that ask a more specific question(s). Then it redirects you back to the remaining portion of the poll which everybody takes. So depending on your answer to the first question, you will not be asked certain poll questions and you will be asked a question that some others might not get asked depending on their answer. For example:

If you answered "Shooter elements" in question one, then you get sent to another shooter question but not the love interest secondary question. Same with "RPG elements" and ao on. But after that second question, you then go on to finish the rest of the questions.

I will have the charts up later today.

I do know the ability for people to put in multiple entries. That is something that I cannot fix unfortunately, but again, I understood this going in. I just figure most people won't do it twice as it would seriously be pointless, but I've underestimated cheaters before.

Either way, I just wanted us to have fun doing something a little productive and entertaining as well as informative.
Like someone said above, this is not necessarily professional (although I appreciate the one who said it looks professional) because of the flaws such as double entry and maybe a few questions inadvertantly omitted.

I've seen professional and the fact that this one was edited makes it all the worth. It may take a few more edits and tries, but its more professional then any other polls I've seen people do.Posted Image

I greatly appreciate that Posted Image

I know this poll has it's flaws, but I definitely tried to eliminate as many of the flaws as I could. Thanks again!

OMW home now to prepare the chart. We have 405 votes now. I am gonna cut it off here and do the chart from the 405. It should be done in roughly 2 hrs or so. I'll post it in the OP.

Nice to see the results, but one thing confuses me. What's the difference between 'Votes for most desired returning squadmate' (with the vertical bars) and 'Which character do you wish to see return the most as a squadmate?' (with the horizontal bars)?

What about Jacob, Grunt, Ashley and Garrus in the 'most desired returning squadmates' part?

Thanks for making this poll, anyway ^_^
