wow thats some pretty strong fear you got there...

Yeah, I remember once fast traveling to some place then turning around and coming face to face with a giant radscorpion
I had to pause the game and take a break after that

what? water?

And yes it really does suck, every time I encounter a scorpion (esp big ones) I terminate it with extreme prejudice

(Tesla cannon for example)

Me too! All because of Quake 2. I always think something is in the water to attack me.

I had jericho as my companion and gave him cigarette so that whenever we stopped for a moment he'd start smoking. I also gave him Eugene and after I did that I basically had to babysit him and make sure he never dropped the gun for no good reason or then I'd have to search the area or make a new one with the console.

Water never bothered me though I always worried about swimming out too far in Morrowind

Limited vision in under water games... swimming forward and  somethings swimming right at you.  Fast at one another then and boom your dead. Image IPB

The comfort feeling I mentioned may, in part, have to do with nostalgia for the game. I remember exploring the northern part of the Wasteland and I had moment when stepping onto a rock and looking over the wasteland I thought: "Wow this game is awesome!" It was a combination of that and the wind and soft music playing in the background. Nevermind the dead trees and radscorpions (sorry SiremilCrane), I loved looking through ruins and hording stuff. Before that "epiphany" I wasn't terribly impressed with the game. I was expecting something more cinematic, like Mass Effect, but I eventually got used to the wooden characters.

The dart gun is one of the most useful guns in the game, even if I mostly used them on deathclaws. Those creatures are horrible.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it also best to fight them in your underoos? Their claws ignore damage resistance and the only thing that will happen is your armor's condition deteriorating quickly.
I'm glad Bethesda included creatures like the deathclaws. My first experience fighting them was.....memorable. :?

I'm not sure but I know deathclaw gauntlets do that so it makes sense that the deathclaws themselves do

I remember when I first got the guass rifle I decided to try it out in old olney, the deathclaws got knocked down but I thought they were dead... I was in for one heck of a surprise.
