When I played through with one of my rogues I had the most amazing spec (for me) for Morrigan. She was perfectly balanced with buff/cc/dmg/healing spells, so I had her with me through the whole game x) While using shale as tank and Zev or Leli to backstab. It was pure ownage when morrigan constantly used Haste and weapon enchants, Shale's high aggro output and two rogues with massive dps that could stealth
Every fight was a walk in the park as i could just stun-lock my way through them
I especially started loving the Bards Captivating Song, which saved my ass more than once down in the werewolf lair.
Having Dog in the party is great aswell as his overwhelm is useful to deal with enemy mages.
I never used a two-hand warrior until awakening, really, those new warrior and two-hand abilitys practically allowed oghren to solo everything while the rest of my party lay dead:p

For my First run on my S&S warrior I used Wynne (heal & cc), Morrigan (dmg, support & cc), Leliana (archer dps & unlock) worked like a charm for me. It might lack the Dps of the 3 melee&archer 1 mage parties, but I found it to be great fun. Dont know if 3x Haste's are stackable anymore but main being arcane warrior + 2 mages, all with haste, and 1 dual wield rouge was also kinda fun

What kind of party, from your experience and point of view, us players of Dragon Age should use?
I saw somewhere that having 2 Mages, a good and evil one, a rogue plus a warrior, should be the best, but from my experience i understood that wasn't so, because when i get to play Orzammar, i had problems in facing Darkspawn and getting killed for several times...
So now i think i should get a party consisting of 2 Warriors, 1 Rogue, and a Mage, since i have Morrigan that developed healing power, i should be fine with it, lol.
What's your opinion?
Thanx for your posts, much appreciated...
depends when you done orzammar it isnt a low level quest I made that mistake once.
I prefer a tank & dps usually shale (tank), sten (dps), healer wynne gave her prison line and hex line, and my pc as 4th, I didnt use morrigan and I would never give her healing, sometimes I switched to 2 mages and removed the dps my pc beiing a rogue,
1st: shale, sten, pc, wynne
2nd: shale, pc, morrigan, wynne
both worked out very well.

I agree with the poster above who said he finds it tough to leave Alistair behind! I've only done that in one playthrough so far.
So Alistair is generally always in there. The other 2 slots depend on my PC's class, and on how I'm roleplaying. Currently, I'm playing a City Elf DW rogue who's in love with Zevran, so he's always there, along with Wynne for healing. So a 2 DW rogue party (great for carving your way through enemies).

I like Alistair aswell, right now, that i finished Orzammar, my party consists of Zevran, Morrigan and Alistair... i believe that a rogue with lockpiking ability, is indispensable, lol.
Also, i believe that tweaking the Tactics screen for each party member turns out to be very useful... for example if your mage gets attacked in melee style, then u can set a character of your party to defend the mage, really cool.
Thanx

I usually play a Rogue; I like being able to open locks and disarm traps myself. I'm partial to DW, but one of these days I'll do a pure archer.
I take two Warriors, Alistair as a tank, with Shale as the second; after Orzammar I use Oghren instead of Shale.
For the mage/healer, I prefer Wynne over Morrigan.
