Let's face it, humanity is being pretty damn stubborn towards the Reapers, what with their "we don't want to be extinct!" thing that they're doing. Plus, Commander Shepard is practically the symbol of what humanity can do.

In short, they are a worthy foe towards the Reapers.

Which leads me to believe that the Reapers are going to target Earth first, and basically clean house.

Kinda like this picture:

See what I'm saying? I mean, it makes sense that the Reapers will target the biggest threat in their plans.

Yes, they are coming and you can't stop them. We don't want to be extint, so lets us destroy them. Also great picture by the way.

I agree I hope we get to try and interrupt it, but fail. and then the story goes from there.

They were already going to target earth as part of their Collector plan. I reckon when they arrive, they'll attack thecitadel and the homeworlds of the major races simultaniously.. That way, there is no time for other species to rally and fight back, and the smaller colonies will be cut off and thrown into confusion. I think this was very much the approach they used with the Protheans. It also makes tactical sense.

I could see earth getting obliterated slightly earlier out of a sense of vengance against Shepard, but do the Reapers do revenege? Also, it would give the resto of the galaxy a bit of warning that the attack was coming.

I'mnot sure if the Reapers hold humanity in high enough regard to see them as a 'threat'. More of an annoyance. They seem pretty arrogant in that regard.

Awesome picture, btw. :D

Cutting off the council homeworlds from the citadel seems like the logically driven thing to do. That's when Shepard steps in with his rogue army made up of allied Terminus races in tow to kick the Reapers back to dark space all the while giving the council that ever so satisfying "I TOLD U SO BEYOTCHEZZ!!!" speech.
