I'm attempting to add the bow "Far Song" to the merchant Owen in Redcliffe. I have successfully added to his inventory in the toolset, saved it and checked it back in. However, it does not show up in his inventory in game. I think I'm missing something crucial here, can anyone offer some help?

I really can't get this to work still. Could somebody please take me through it step by step? Thanks to the people that have tried to help, I'm really not good with toolsets.

dont worry m8. its hard to pick up. ive only managed the basics. go to file >manage modules> single player> open. then go to the merchants toolpanel (the pile of coins). add the item to the inventory. save, check in and export without independant resources. did you add it to the merchant or the creaturees inventory? because the owen charicter is just a way to trigger the script that opens a different store so it ha to be in the stores inventory not his.

You can edit a merchant's inventory like you want, it won't change anything if the player already visited the merchant. You have to add the item to the merchant's inventory with a script.
