I think the Shadowbroker is a Volus, or a group of Voluses. That would be awesome.

All those theories are lame and 1 and 3 and pretty unlikely, seeing as the Shadow Broker has been around longer then humans iirc, and the Illusive man has been at odds with the Shadow broker.
Some think it may be Miranda's father, but I prefer the theory that it's a rouge AI like G0-T0.


I always liked G0-T0, fun to sneak around with in KOTOR II, but I like HK-47 more.

I think it would be funny if LEGION was the Shadow Broker, but that's unlikely.
I think we will never see the Shadow Broker in Shepards story, unless Shepard works for the Shadow Broker in the 3rd game if he/she left Cerberus.

I can't make a theory though theres no one in the current ME universe that really makes me think they fit the profile of the Shadow broker

I doubt that anyone will work for it. by the way, during the first part it's probably has not yet been created.

Is there anywhere where it is suggested when the first acknowledgement of the Shadow Broker was. I'd be curious to to know how long they've been kicking around.

It's a Volus people. Didn't someone in ME1 say that the Volus (as a species) where good for collecting and trading information?

Inpossible, since you have the option to let the council die and form a new one at the end of ME1.

Considering the SB has been around for centuries there are several options.



If it's one individual that has been the Shadow Broker all this time it would have to be an asari or a Krogan, since they're the only species that have a long enough lifespan.



If it was a group of individuals or if the mantle is passed down then it's anyone's guess really.

I think the broker is that volus from the bank area in ME 1 in the Citadel. He says he works for the broker...but he is very sketchy about it.



Also, the Asari consort might be the broker as well; tons of people tell her about their lives, and she has been living a long time. She has a plethora of information.



I just hope it's someone we met before.

I'll stick with my theory that the Shadow Broker killed Liara and is masquerading as her now. That'll explain how Liara changed so much. It's all part of Bioware's secret master plan.
