I hope the DLC will still be good. Leliana is an enjoyable character to have around. Her being my lockpick rogue ensured she always had a spot in my party. The inclusion of Morrigan though, in my opinion, would be more appealing. Even if the way you rp'ed didn't agree with her, there's a lot more story and possibilities involved settling the matters between your warden and her.

Morrigan is better off to save for DA2, considering the plot she has. Same with the other characters. Leliana makes the most amount of sense for inclusion with Awakenings as she would not alter the plot as much as the other characters. Well, Shale will be insanely awesome to have but that's not gonna happen.

There's a BIG difference in making a mod for an already made program then making a whole game.
Most mods are just about changing some values here and there.

And some fix all the bugs bioWare should fix with patches.

If that were the case I imagine a Bioware employee would've stepped in by now, they can't have missed the references to it all over these forums and I doubt it does them much good to have rumors spread for so long if they aren't true. Or I hope so anyway, I'd like to see her come back in some capacity.
Personally I'm not expecting this to be a Leliana-based dlc like alot of people are, I have this unsettling feeling that it'll be a cameo, but I'd really like her as a companion again. I'd also hope Zevran fans get something similar, but that wouldn't affect me either way to be honest.

Taure I laughed for 10 minutes when shale said "Have fun storming the castle" ..yeah you want to bring back a charaecter bring back shale ...and my question ..if your charaecter had a mabari(esp Human Noble) why wasnt it in awakening ...seems to me the mabari would die first ..before not travelling "near" its master

I like to thinks he's at the Mabari equivalent of the stud farm (breeding kennels?), he has clearly proven himself as the type of dog there should be more of, and I think he's earned it. ~~~

Well she says that " Leliana is not in the Expansion Pack, the dlc is a separate product, Bioware has told me that it's a loads of fun to play." (this was from her facebook group page) So, it's a little confusing as to which game she is in, however there is definitely a DLC with her in the way.

There are some who suspect her announcement was simply for some brief voiceover work for DC itself. (Apparently you get to kill her char, too). This seems unlikely, as there will be no actual dialogue or cutscenes. Probably just the canned "I'll try to be merciful" stuff which has already been recorded.



Therefore, I hold out hope for a coming DlC where you once again get to play her char, not stomp on it with an ogre.

If this DLC happens (and the bugs are fixed), with a good story (and a romance continuation) i just might buy Awakenings. (played it in a friends home and it wasn't worth it, yet).

6. You mentioned Leliana in context with DLC for the Dragon Age Origins expansion pack Awakening? Please tell us everything you can!
As I said already before, which is exactly what I was told from Bioware, that indeed Leliana was not in the expansion pack but a dlc would be available, and that it would be 'fun' to play, I have said before that the dlc is a product on its own, not to confuse people, I have no idea what it will contain. I am not trying to be secretive, I just don't know. I have recorded more stuff last February, but don't know if it is related to dlc.
