My Cousland felt right at home with the rest of her family.

My City Elf resembles his family, my Dwarf Noble does also but that's because I deliberately made him resemble Endrin. My Human Noble has a passing resemblance to Bryce Cousland, just enough so its credible when people realise that it's his son.

I was originally designing my male Cousland to look like Aragorn. With a tan. Needless to say he looked like the older brother. I had to restart the game several times, modifying his appearance.

I thought I'd have to do the same thing with my female Duster, but I lucked out. See my avatar. She has her mother's stubby features, but without her mother's radiant red hair. Instead she got a mousy mop. Her sister Rica inherited the best things from both parents, it seems -- bright red hair from mom and noble features from whoever dad was. It was perfect for roleplaying as "the ugly sibling", too.

Neither my dwarf noble or human noble looked much like their families. Trian/Bhelen look like middle aged men, and I made my dwarf have a younger appearance with no wrinkles and dark red hair, while the rest of his family were blondes.  He must have gotten the red hair from his mother who was m.i.a.

With my HN, I tried everything but concluded that I wanted short hair, but not parted to the side or bald/buzz cut, so I went with the combed back look. I also wanted him to have no scruff or facial tattoos to kinda fit the "young man/pup" description but look convincingly 20+, and I came up with the face in my avatar pic. I guess it was more important to me to just stick with something, after countless deleted characters and finally finish the game after the 5 months or so that I've had it.

If it was possible to make something that resembled the warden from the sacred ashes trailer, on xbox 360, I would have used my imagination, as to how he fit in being the younger son of the Couslands.

My fist character was a mage, so not relevant.

My second was a city elf female. She came out looking so much like Shianni that I figured Bio was reading my sliders.

Hmm, my dwarf commoner was basically styled after Kardol but with the same red hair/beard as rica so yea it was pretty similiar.

My couslands usually end up looking quite alot different from his family. Perhaps Eleanor were on good terms with the Highever postman?

my human noble looked a bit like dad and a lot like his brother. main difference was my guy had darker hair, but that could be from his grandparents or something.

Mine looks like a real Cousland, but the first human noble I played didn't.

I think my current avatar looks like a Cousland; tried for that anyway.

But my first Warden looked so familiar for some reason, and took me a while to place the face: I had made my DC appear much like actor Clint Howard w/o the Mayberry PB&J....

<---- Dalish Warden. So there's a lack of family to base appearance on. Though I did use the Shianni face as a pre-set to design her, so I like to play with the idea that they're somehow distantly related. As though part of the City Elf family ran away to the Dalish long ago/

That guy to the left didn't look too out of place if you ask me, but he wasn't a spitting image of his mom or dad either.

Mine does after I tweaked Fergus and Bryce Cousland's faces a bunch of times. I finally settled on this variant of Fergus's face. The only major change was the nose and the clean shave.

I think it has some family resemblance. I once tried editting Bryce's morph in the TS and only got an ugly squashed-up small head with his eyebrows protruding out of his head. I finally decided to edit a preset morph (preset 5: the soldier-looking guy with the buzz cut) and now he looks like his family.

It was so funny in my first playthrough when I made a DN with red hair, a blue tattoo and then I gave him a wide nose after I read somewhere that Huns squashed their faces from birth to make them more frightening. Needless to say, he looked as if his mother cheated on Endrin.

<-- looks close enough to Cyrion Tabris, though I ended up starting a new playthrough for him and changed his hair to a light blond. Originally I thought the white-haired look would look cool like my EQ1 and 2 characters, but it just looks old and grey.

The image of my warden might represent the Cousland family, more so Bryce than Fergus.

Holy crap this thread got necro'd big time! cool

So I recently started a Dalish Elf origin character. I'm thankful that supposedly the parents died tragically because I had a specific look in mind for my Dalish Elf and I didn't want to let anything hinder that vision. I made my Dalish Elf out to be a variation of Crixus from "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," and I'm planning on making him a Beserker :P

well I role played my Cousland as though the mother cheated on her husband and claimed I was his o.O since she looks nothing like her mother nor father, ok maybe the nose a tiny bit lol

My first human noble actually came out looking as if he fit well with the Cousland bunch, so I actually assumed that Bioware was cleverly modifying the family characters to resemble your own; much like Oblivion did with Fallout 2.

few of my characters had any more than a vague resemblance to their families (some not even that) but it doesn't bother me since I have only a vague resemblance to my real life family and can't say I've really noticed many real-life relatives who look too much like eachother either
personally I blame the whole "everyone looks like their siblings/parents" mentaitiy on TV shows who use the same actore for past-versions of parents or acenstors in time travel plots or flashbacks...

...ok that last bit was half-joking

as for skin tone, while it's not very common it is possible for a child born of same-coloured parents to have different colour due to dormant genes being passed on. still, that one does require a greater suspension of disbelief than any other differences

@Deviean good pics. Its cool how though you only tweaked Fergus's face for your Cousland, he really does look like a brother and not just a copy.

Also, kinda off-topic, but the last pic makes it look like your Cousland is happy to see his parents about to die :P
