I did really feel for Alistair and Fiona again in this chapter, but I'm also glad Brand has gotten rid of some of the guilt. It was really crushing her and interfering with Anders action.

I agree. This is probably some kind of a complex Brand has. She thinks she is in charge of everything and must control everything and if something is out of control she blames herself. Just like my mom, lol She needs to relax and enjoy these little good things she has while she still can. Good that she finally started to makes steps towards it, I think it's Anders' influence.

I love this chapter. I wonder if my Anders will ever tell Marina that he loves her. They spent about 10 years together and she's the only one who half-jokingly calls him "mon amour". I just can't imagine him saying this to her, it's too serious and they are serious only when they are in mortal danger. )))

Undertow Brand is fairly serious, but she's pretty goofy with Bryce. I think she'd find the whole Mother thing odd.  "Why do we tell them to call us something that nobody else calls us? So confusing!"

And I don't think Anders will ever tell her that he loves her again. In my head, it's not because it's too serious but because he's said it a lot to various women over the years and the words don't actually mean that much to him. By his thinking, if she doesn't get it from what he says and does, then she's an idiot (or has finally suffered so many blows to the head that she's taken permanent damage).

Good, I read many fanfics about Anders and he usually says "I love you" to the female character. And it always... I don't know... I don't believe when he says it. I think it means nothing to him. Or everything. Anyway, he seems to me like a person who avoids to tell such things. Maybe because it's a cliché and Anders loves to be original )))

This chapter was full of a lot of intrigue. It was good to finally see some answers to the questions that have been building for awhile. This does look like it could get very messy but at least they're aware now.

Mmmm, I want to do it! I've even read a book about british archers, though it was not for Bryce but for a new char who will appear in my comic when I'll be able to continue it. But Bryce deserves not just some sketching, he deserves an artwork, it will take time.

I can't believe Anders proposed to Brand- it just happened. I'm fairly unconcerned with marriage in any capcacity and I know that Brand is not someone who wants to be married, to anyone. I think it happened because they both know, deep down, that the situation is way out of their control. It's a way of saying "given the choice, I would choose you" without actually using those words.

And Bryce is adorable, isn't he? I already have something in my head (a post story one-shot) that features older (~18 year-old) Bryce and his personality is fantastic. He's snarky but loose and very charming. I wish I could draw at all, because I know exactly what he looks like as an adult.

Well, clearly the only solution is for Gala to interview you incessantly until every detail is out so that she can draw him for you!

It was really depressing when Brand was wondering if she'd have room in her life for Anders or Bryce in the future. Anders is one thing because as awesome as he is, he's just the LI (although hopefully eventual husband) but Bryce? He's her son.  If nothing else, this situation with Fiona and Alistair should show her just how difficult trying to get back into his life would be if she does decide there's no room for in her life. Although since Anders has her number, hopefully he'll be able to talk her out of anything drastic.

She would never be able to let go of Bryce completely. Even when she suggested taking him to the Tower, it was with the knowledge that she would be close by in Redcliffe where she could visit him frequently. I think she's preparing herself, mentally, for a situation like that which is horrible, but not as bad as having to give him up the way Fiona gave up Alistair.

I just like the idea of Bryce being all "Eh, I'm naked." I have a propensity to run my males nude, anyway.
