I've never read them! Melisande was me frantically searching for a name that was relatively unique yet fit the setting (and how I struggle with those). I think I found it on a fantasy name generator or something.

Are the books good? I need to start reading again at some point...writing pretty much nuked that pastime this summer.

@gala I think that's exactly it! I'm much more of a comedy person, so I definitely need stuff like that to lighten the mood.

They're very well written, quite spicy and definitely full of kink. FWIW, I've read (and enjoyed) them all. Just keep them under the sofa cushion when small children are near.

They don't know for certain. All they know is that Melisande said that Alistair asked for Bryce in exchange for Melisande and Norah's safety and now Bryce is definitely is the possession of *a* templar, who they're assuming is Alistair.

Melisandre is a kinky, evil sorceress in SoIaF, too.  I knew that couldn't be good!

And Melisande is a total witch. Did she poison Fergus' drink with some kind of love potion? Stab, kill, kill. Please, make ser Pounce attack her! I have a big scar from a cat's bite, so I can tell cats are dangerous enemies.

Yay! At least I saved Alistair's life. And there will be more about Melisande coming up very, very soon.

It makes me LOL, though. FF.net review! BSN comments! Twitter! I love it!

And before you do try it, opening up my brain to read ahead only works if you have prior experience decoding a Wall of Crazy. There's "It was Satinalia" and there's A Final Image. In between is just absolute chaos right now. Even the parts I've published are all scribbled over and there are deleted bits and conversations, and possibly an Alistair/Brand/Anders threesome (dream sequence (and not a dream sequence of any of the participants)), I don't even know.

I guess it's a Room Full of Crazy because there's also a small shrine to Sandi and her awesomeness for putting up with me.

Melisande has a fairly interesting backstory, I think. It makes her no less of a hag who deserves to be munched on by a Tiger shortly after having the baby, but she's not completely evil.
