Yes, just like any of us could die at any time or strike it rich through serendipity. Just because something is possible does not mean it is likely to occur.

I hope to God that somewhere a U.S. Army General in charge of black project R&D saw Liberty Prme in Fallout 3 and said "we need to make that."

All magicians attempt to do magic. Which is impossible.

The truth is that dangerous aliens or good aliens are just speculation and i support that we try to find them and see if we can work peacefully. For me it is better than just stay here and do nothing.

I agree. If they are that advanced, chances are it's only a matter of time before they find us on their own. Best to at least try to let them believe we are not the enemy (if they care). Worse case is that we'll help them find us a few years earlier than they would on their own.

Also you should stop discussing politics or this is going to get locked.Posted Image

"If they care" Exactly, why would they. As Carl Sagan and Michio Kaku says, if we are talking about advanced beings that are tens of thousands of years ahead of us (or much more). Why would they be interested in us. Our technical civilization is only a few hundred years old, and they would probably view us as fish in pond or ants on the sidewalk.

It really seems like there are too many variables to say anything. Who knows what's out there or what their motivations are? You can only assume things based on... what?

So someone sharing different opinions from capitalists is mentally handicapped now. Good to know.
I will probably get banned for saying this however....

Oh am I supposed to be surprised you´re right-wing extremist? I´m not. I knew that all the time since you got me banned. It is sad that prejudices can be so true....

Seeing how this thread is becoming a political flamewar, I will say that that is all we have to look forward to.

In my experience people like you call anybody who isn't some latte drinking left-wing hipster "right-wing extremists."

Yet in the end, Liberty Prime will melt all you godless commies, as "Communism is the very definition of failure!"

If you would have politely disagreed with my opinion of Communism (in spite of sucking, actually) being better than capitalism I wouldn´t have to assume you´re right-wing. But by calling it a "mental handicap" you have lost every right to expect people not considering you such.

And @ whoever brings up Liberty Prime: What the f*ck is that?
