I am really not doing too well against these things and don't have the energy to go back and change my team.  It really is rough that there are no camp sites and virtually no chance to change team in the deep roads. We eventually sorted out the broodmother (no healing potions left) and I exchanged Alistair for Leliana because I was anticipating traps.  I have Morrigan and Oghren and my PC who is a mage as the rest of the team.  My mage and Morrigan are great against 1 SG at a time but we are not able to deal with two at a time (run out of mana) and the others in the team seem next to worthless.  Any tactical suggestions?  I tried peppering the place with glyph's of paralysis to help the situation but they had absolutely no effect on the golums.  Posted Image

Well Shales Quake would be useful... Any AOE attack that would knock them over is quite handy

If Your PC or Morrigan have any AOE attacks i would suggest using them

Other than that... lower your difficulty

EDIT: Make sure Ohgren has Berserk on

Oghren should be pretty decent against golems. My suggestion would be keep healing him and make sure you have set Oghren's tactics so that he is using his more powerful abilities (also make sure he has a two-handed maul). If a mage is getting attacked, try and freeze the golems with cone of cold. Leilana may be a pawn sacrifice. Concentrate all firepower on the golem Oghrens fighting.

I admit you do seem to have a fragile team with only one Fighter in the group, but while this will make the golems tougher it will make other parts of the game easier.

Oghren: Sunder Armor, Sunder Arms

Mages: AOE and heal

Leliana: Arrow of slaying if you're about lvl 14-15 she should have it by now

From Deep roads, you can go to your camp sites by selecting the map button under the map.

Increasing your speed will help, also. Just be warned that they can hit at you even if you appear to have already passed them; slightly irritating.

Thanks everyone. The suggestion for the maul is one that didn't cross my mind but quite logical - got through the area but with major damage and too few injury kits and healing potions and no elf root left to make potions. No arrows of slaying yet - I have come to the conclusion that I don't always make the best choices for my team. Also Shale, where is he??? I have unlocked Shale and I see that others are using him at this point in the adventure but I havn't found anything in the journal telling me about the quest that gets him.

You'll need to go to Sulcher's Pass in the main map, and on to Honnleath to get her.

I sometimes try a boulder approach, and speed towards my objective, simply allowing the golems to follow me into an ambush. And they can be knocked down for easier hits.

Take no tactic for granite....

Shale is a DLC companion that came free with the game. You might want to download the DLC or should have it.

Sulcher's Pass and then Honnealth.

Between Shale is the same golem from the stolen throne.
