But, we've seemed to his a trend where dialog is not as important as it used to be.
We're also spoon feeding people plot. It seems that a lot of movies are filling in all the blanks. Why be a viewer if you're given all the answers? Where's the participation?

Well, it's proven to be nothing more than a gimmick, really. You'll find people online arguing plot details, and, eventually, the writer will get involved somehow (an interview, a blog, etc), slip up, and bam, we all know how it's really supposed to be interpreted.
Still, I find it more interesting to leave that ambiguity there. I'll often interpret things in a far more positive and optimistic light than the others around me, and I'd rather people leave it alone rather than trying to force an answer out of the people involved.

Personally i think we've hit a creativity cap. There aren't any original ideas left that aren't spin offs. About the last original concept I can remember is the Matrix (the first one). Other than that everything else has been done, remixed, revamped, etc. Don't expect it to get any better either.
Good point about the matrix , i thought i was the only one who felt like that, also there's somthing strange going on about that and the creative right's about that movie, aparently there's this lady named sophia stewart who say's she has claim's to the creative right's of the Matrix and Terminator, there's alot of murky stuff going on about that also ...

Best. Movie. Ever... But yes, I agree with you completely. There haven't been any original ideas come out of that place in years. It's rediculous.

It is, and it's "100% medically accurate".
The first person takes a jobby, then the second person behind him eats that jobby,
then the person behind the person eats that persons jobby, this is the
sort of creativity Hollywood lacks.

But anyway, I'll have to repeat what everyone else has said, most movie studios don't want to take a risk with an unknown franchise. Although another problem, I feel, is that no matter what you do, even if it's 100% original, people will claim it's a copy off of something else, even if the similarities it bares are trivial or don't even exist. People are too picky and jaded when it comes to movies these days.

Globalization and the increase of the internets. People in America are aware of people in Brazil's, europe's, japan's ideas. So much sharing, borrowing and room for plagiarism. This generation lacks the drive to generate new ideas because they can easily borrow off someone else's
the next new idea will be milked by hollywood faster than you can say "outsourced"

I think it's like its always been, there are always great movies coming out, they just get buried under a pile of crap movies. Within the past year; Star Trek, District 9, Avatar (just kidding, that sucked), Kick-Ass, The Lives of Others, The Hurtlocker, Moon, How to train your Dragon, Up, Up in the air, Watchmen. And let's face it there have alway been crap movies to dig through to find the good stuff...
Funny half of those you mentioned are actually remake's or comic book movie's ...

Star trek for instance tried and tested , Avatar theme's, you can basicly say that's a rehash of Dance's with wolve's, Kick-ass Comic book adaptation , Watchmen graphic novel, dont really get into those cgi film's so how to train your dragon and Up would'nt really watch those but once you've seen one CGI you've seen em' all .........

Oh right. Firstly, I was kidding about Avatar, that movie was really bad. I went to it twice, first in 2D and then in 3D to see if it improved it. I think movie actually became worse after I saw it in 3D.
I agree most CGI movies are pretty bad but you've got to see Up and Wall-e. Those movies are really really good.

Avatar (just kidding, that sucked),
I'm seriously tired of people trying to be hardcore movie buffs by hating everything that it insanely popular. Sorry my friend, I can't believe anyone would honestly think Avatar was a bad movie....unless you are saying so because it's popular and the genericcrowd of MTV-watching, explosion-hungry neanderthals likes it, but sometimes us neanderthalls are right. To hate something out of spite of its popularity is just as bad as loving something because of it.
