The mako itself was great and far more epic than the vehicle in ME2.  The only problem is most planets were rather bare and they made you trek all over the map to get all the rescources.

space is'nt full of Earths the possabilty of coming across a planet that is Earth like is so unlikely
but possable look into space with a telescope and then say the only problem is most planets were rather BARE and made you trek all over the map to get all the resoucres Space is dead until you get to a civelized area if we were to leave Earth we would see nothing but dead black space until we ether found life or returned home so the idea of somebody saying they want more Earths is just bazzar what there realy saying is they want more hubs with driveable skycars or somesuch now that is what mass effect should have had all along there is absloutely no reason for there to be no flyable skycars in eather of these mass effects they could do it because the concept has already been done by noughty dog in Jak II with aka the '' Zoomer'' the only thing thats diffrint is biowere's game mass effect has actual ''skycars'' meaning they can fly now the zoomers ony had two hover zones but biowere could actuly Beaf this up and make the cars fly and flyable so as to the fact when your on the citadel you could simply hop in a skycar taxi and fly it around the the citadel
going from one ward to another biowere could do it because the game engine used in mass effect 3
is wide open then again I will say skyxcars and the mako are a MUST HAVE in mass effect 3

The Mako missions were acceptable.

The planetary exploration in the Mako sapped the will to live with various objectives and resources sitting the middle of horrific terrain. Bouncing up and around horrific cliffs, gullies and sheer drops is just very annoying and boring. The Mako became associated with that so I was delighted they removed it from ME2 as it removed 90% of the grind and 5% of the fun of Mass Effect.

I would say it took away from the explortion aspect of the game making it more like gears of war instead of mass effect the reason why I bought the game was because it had the exploration and a mako u could drive in instead of just shooting Im soooooo sick of shooting with no rym or reason
or motive the mako exploraiton put some since behind what was going on in the war instead of just the war you could see the outskirts and resalts of what was happening in a war Bottem line is it takes u away from the shooting & destruction and gives u a chance to just take in the bueaty of Mass Effect I realy missed that in ME2 because ME2 had too much War & shooting Going on
I won't Buy ME3 if they don't have some type rest & mako Exploration time planet scaning is just NOT THE SAME!!!!

Exploring in the Mako was a bit tedious, especially in subsequent playthroughs, but I really, really liked the feel of desolation. It was powerful. The uncharted worlds were creepy as hell, I remember fighting the Thresher Maw for the first time, in the Sparta system (the planet where you find Kahoku's Men). It was scary.

At first I loved it, but after I played a while, the combat in the mako was too hard. That was the most common place where I died. Some parts wrere fun, but other times it was aggervating.

The Mako itself was great. I loved how it could, impossibly, effortlessly, right itself after landing upside-down. I loved thinking, "Ooh, Colossus!" and then ramming the Mako into the geth repeatedly.

The terrain, unfortunately, was often horrible, and turned a fun drive in a wonderful machine into an exercise in frustration.

I hate the Mako sooo much. In combat, I parked it, got out, and kicked ass on foot.

I like it more than I used to. When I first started playing ME1 I found it infuriatingly difficult to control. Even now I still sometimes have problems.

Love, love, love, love and love. If I could have the Mako as a romance interest, I'd be the first to get to that junk in the trunk.

And now for being serious. The Mako was good and great and all, but I feel the environments didnt take everything you could out of it. They just werent encouraging you to hop in the old devil and search for things, since almost all the worlds were computer generated garbage.

I do like the Mako and I have no problems with it whatsoever. The exploration with the Mako was just an incredible addition to Mass Effect 1 and the Mako's addition to the main quest was well done too and added some variety.

I like the Mako. Travelling around uncharted worlds was a great experience.

ME1 for PC didn't have any of the infamous problems you X360 folks had so I might be slightly biased in favor of the first installment in ME series :P

and the original game is still the best, I hope they'll never ever try to remake ME1 with ME2/3 mechanics and gameplay.

i loved the mako

i just hated my confidence for thinking i could make it up every incline...so many times i would have my thumb on that analog so hard only to come tumbling down the mountain.

lets be serious, if the mass effect movie is made and there is not a scene with the mako stuck on a mountain ill be let down.

I really enjoyed driving around in the Mako. Now, there are obviously missions with ridiculous terrains but it was good for the most part. It was calming just driving around and seeing all those amazing vistas.

Umm... No, I don't recall anyone saying that. :P The hammerhead would have been terrible on some of the more mountainous planets.

The Mako must have been horrible on XBox, but I wouldn't know. I had no real issues with the Mako on PC. The physics may not have been spot on, but the Mako could pretty much go anywhere and it could take a couple of direct hits before bursting into a flaming pile of scrap (unlike the Hammerhead).

As an aside, this is actually a topic of conversation between Vega and Cortez in the Shuttle Bay during ME 3.

i personally loved the mako, i thought it was a bit over used in mass effect 1 but i absolutely hated its removal in mass effect 2.
i wasnt completely against the hammerhead, though i thought if it were going to be an upgrade to the Mako, yet i found it to be a step backward.
i wouldve loved it if ME3 had missions using both...

Using the Mako on planets was what makes ME feel so expansive (although a bit tedious). And looking up into the sky (in particular on the moon, seeing Earth) seeing other planets, or rings...such beauty. There is a trick to driving on different terrains. The easiest planets had green areas. As long as you stick to those, you can get where you're going fairly easily. On other planets you have to notice the color/texture of the terrain to figure out what was climbable and what was not.

The Mako is amazing.

The exploration sequences are easily some of the most immersive moments in my entire gaming life, and the first time encounter with a Thresher Maw in Artemis Tau Cluster is unforgettable. The feeling of desolation in the vast, enormous galaxy is just impossible to describe. It's wonderful.

The combat sequences were fun and it really gives a sense of security, to be protected by a flying tank.

I liked the mako. I hated the terrains. It was like every terrain had tons of impossible to climb mountains. Those maps/nav points were useless because you couldn't get a read on how to avoid those mountains. It needed better maneuverability and speed.

I am no fan of the Mako. Started another run through a few days ago after I first played it back in '07 and had forgotten how much of a pain it was. I was quickly reminded of it.
