Biotic Bonus Talent For Soldier

Just wondering, out of all the biotic bonus powers that I can pick, which would be more effective for a soldier on Insanity? Out of this list which would be better for a Commando?:

-Slam
-Reave
-Dominate


(I didn't list Warp ammo because Barriers are easy to strip anyway and it isn't necessary a full biotic "ability"...more like an ammo biotic ability of sorts, and I did not list Barrier because I used barrier before and it really wasn't that useful. Enemies strip your shields really quickly anyway so what's the point? Even when on Heavy barrier and with all the biotic upgrades, it was useless, well most of the time it was anyway).

The reason I want a Biotic ability is mainly for Rp reasons(seeing as my soldier from ME1 used Singularity andwas known as an L3 by Kaidan, so he would be either an L3 or an L4 now in ME2) and to try something new. I mean I found out that AP rounds weren't to different from incendary rounds in terms of damage from this video: and the shield talents(as stated above)were kinda useless on insanity.

So any opinions and/or tips on what talent I should get?

Slam would probably be the most useful. Reave would be even more useful, but it's overpowered, so I don't like even having it. Dominate can be fun, but requires you to be facing organic enemies, and you have to strip all their defenses. If you're willing to do that, then you can start running around turning enemies against their allies. It's great fun, and also distracts them, but I don't like things that are situational. That's me, though.



I will note, however, that organic enemies are a lot more common than synthetic enemies, so you'd get more use out of Dominate than you would AI Hacking.

Barrier is far from useless, don't use it too boost your shields when they're already up, use it to restore your shields when they're down and you're out of cover. But I guess you can use Medi-Gel for the same effect if you want, in that case I'd grab Dominate.

Barrier is beyond useless for anyone, and doubly so for a soldier. Reave has it's strong points for ripping down defenses, but all it really does is take up a cooldown and doesn't do anything focused weapons fire can't do.



Slam is awesome. Upgrade it to heavy slam, and it turns into a nasty double-team with anyone in the party using throw.

Reave might see a lot of use on a soldier whose main trait is a lot of health. But I consider it game breakingly OP especially for a soldier that is a devastatingly easy class anyway. Try crippling slam.

Slam. You want your cooldown available to spam AR, so it's either Slam or Neural Shock IMO.

Thanks everyone, I'm most likely going to use Reave, Though i may use slam so I can spam AR, but Reave seems like barrier except it can heal you and not your shields while doing damage to organice and synthetic barriers and armor while Draining and freezing organic enemies. I mean Slam only attacks non-armored enemies....doesn't seem to good to me. Thanks everyone.

Reave is the almighty power of all powers.

However, slam has a quicker cooldown and will give you the ability to set up warp explosions, good if you don't want to take up both squadmate slots with biotics to get the same effect.

Dominate is your organic AI Hacking, so if you get a good laugh out of seeing geth and mechs turn on their brethren, you'll get a better laugh when you see collectors turn on Harbinger.

I would really recomend one point in neural shock over any of the biotic skills. It has a rapid cooldown, great effects, and will one shot a husk if its defenses are down.
