Wait, so if I eat Bioware's pizza no matter what, they will call me "Sire"?  Sweet.

And the waiter will wear a monocle and a tophat while doing it....

i really can't take this complaining shebang. seriously, it's just... 2 dollars. almost as good as a decent or yet generous tip at an ordinary restaurant. Not saying you're forced to tip, tipping has always been done in good graces in return for good service and smiles. I have every faith EA and Bioware has already did an amazing job with the entire package (ME2, or DA, or whichever) but just for a little extra (and that you've already tossed in less than 10% of the retail price of the game for the DLC) why whine about it?

I don't mind paying for DLC, but this one was REALLY underwhelming. The two helmets are ugly, and the Inferno armor makes my ManShep's bottom look funny. What's the point of a ManShep if his bottom looks funny?

Another person that can't see the big picture.

What is the pack composed of?  Go on, tell me.

Answer: A pre-order armor, A helmet that should have been in the game in the first place, and a new visor.

They just put a $2 tag on a new visor and then added the other two items as filler.

A ****in' sweet armor pack.

The big picture is dozens of artists and talent about to lose their jobs if the marketing team doesn't do anything about it.
But yet again you guys could be right - because the marketing folks isn't pushing hard enough to find alternatives other than a simple, inexpensive DLC.

How about people who missed the preorder? I am one of them.
and It's only 2 dollars, dammit. 2... I don't earn much but that would not have hurt one abit.

Like I've mentioned about their marketing side, they would have done a better job at putting this together.

I wondered this myself, actually, and came to a conclusion that made me sad.

You know, those people that put their trust on Bioware on launch date and dolled out $50 rather than wait a couple of months for the price to go down?

Suddenly it makes it ok for them to sell recycled items because YOU didn't get it?

And who the hell is going to lose their jobs?  Those guys make more in a month than you do in a year, they'll be just fine regardless of whether the DLC sells of not.

I wouldn't be.  I was promised they would trickle in small DLC as free and then paid DLC that would add to the game's story through the Cerberus Network.  Am I being selfish?  Maybe. But who's more selfish, the costumer asking for free stuff or the vendor asking for money on free stuff?

true that, but then again that's how value gets appreciated for goods and services.

if you're talking about the numbers of staff who worked on this game behind the scene thanklessly, ha, ha, ha yeah they "make more in a month than you do in a year". Sure, amusing. I simply wish it was so.

if the pizza is the game than DLCs are the toppings.  If you dont like a DLC you would just be missing a pepperoni.  If a DLC was like a slice of pizza than the game is missing the ending or part of the game needed to be a game and forcing a player to buy a part to complete.  I havent seen bioware release a DLC you NEEDED in order to enjoy the story and COMPLETE the game.

Um... what exactly did they work on? All that's released is an armor I already have (therefore was already made, and one of the chief reasons I got a Steam pre-order instead of a retail box), two slightly modified versions of pre-existing headwear.

WOW THEY'RE REALLY WORKING OVERTIME.

it's like all the people who complained that the free DLC we released with the game wasn't...free enough. since all of it was built from the ground up as DLC (and not cut from the game as some conspiracy theorists might think)

if we had just charged for it, there may have been less complaining ;)

People were seriously complaining about that? I mean, they were kind of hit or miss on how much I enjoyed them (Normandy Crash Site, for instance, is cool and atmospheric... but only the first time). But christ, that's pathetic.

...you don't go much to the Dragon Age forums, do you?

It's not that we have to pay for it. I mean, Bioware games are about the only single-player only titles I even pay money for anymore. It's a little dis-heartening when your 'exclusive' pre-order bonus is being sold back to you with a couple extra hats (that you can't even use with it).

Never heard of anyone complaining about the free DLC.  There sure as hell wasn't a 15 page thread on said matter that *I* know of.

I fail to see how it's like people complaining about free DLC at all. An incentive for me to pre-order was the Inferno Armour, by including it in this DLC you've just removed or devalued any incetive that I may have had to pre-order. People that are in a diferent region to me that were offered different items for pre-ordering are getting 3 items for the same price I'll have to pay for two items. If you say the Inferno Armour is a free addition then why aren't all the other pre-order items part of the package also?

Edit: Actually if the rest of the pre-order gear, sans Collector gear, had have been part of it I would have jumped at it. I think I'll give it a miss though.

Yeah, you could have "pre-ordered" it after a few months, saved $10-$20, and still got your pre-order bonus with two bonus hats as a reward for not being enthusiastic about the game! Awesome

Things will probably be much better if they just put out a independent pre-order dlc pack which people can choose to get the items they missed earlier and then put the new armor pieces (or head pieces, whatever) in a separate dlc pack. So I think you are right, the marketing people or the people who put the stuff together F it up...

You think they won't be coming along sometime? Pretty much everything Bio does for prerelease content ends up being released to the community at large in a few months.
