According to this poll the number of people who bought or will buy this DLC is a minority, but not a small one by any means. 39% bought it or plan to, 61% didn't / won't buy it. Of those who answered no, 9% stated inferno armor as the reason.

Guess this is closest to what we can get, didn't convince me to start complaining but will not engage in this conversation on any side. :innocent:

I'm just biding my time for when there's been a few more of these little snack-packs, all individually priced for the low low cost of $2. And for when all those optimists telling the naysayers to stfu because it's only a couple of dollars realise that they've spent upward of $20 on a small selection of useless tittle tattle, half of which they already have thanks to this bundle ploy being implemented. Then I'll laugh heartily at their expense, and then buy some beers with my $20.

I still can't get past the whole "this costs 160pts, but the lowest amount of points you can purchase is 300pts." bullplop.

It's like buying a gift card and having $0.43 that you'll never get back.

I feel like I'm being treated like an idiot...

but then I look around at my fellow people....

not really biowares fault for that,  that was microsoft decision, before the lowest amount you could buy was 500 ms points

on a side not I really wish the admin would implament a quote limit per post, I really find it annoying to see someone break up a persons post and post counter points for every paragraph, wouldn't be to bad if it did not end up being you are wrong/missing the point/your stupid   counter-statement...

p,s was not pointing that last tangent at you :)

That was a question, not an insinuation.

Is there a poll that shows how many people got fed up with Bioware/EA's DLC bull**** and decided to crack the game instead?

Take this guy, for example. He obviously likes Mass Effect as he's here in the forums, yet he'd rather crack the game and hurt the company overall over some silly, non-essential armor DLC.

How can you guys possibly think he is helping your cause? Lol.

You really think the "optimists" are suddenly going to think you're right? You yourself said it; it's just  the price of some beers. Nobody who doesn't care now is going to care later.

Hey man, alcohol is clearly the better value here. You can either have these measly digital items, or you can get intoxicated to the point of violent projectile vomiting, and end up sleeping with a bar skank who forgot to tell you she had crabs.

Or maybe something not horrible might happen; you don't always have to expel dinner and catch horrible diseases every time you down the sauce.

Why? This page is turning out pretty good.

Anyone who projectile vomits just hasn't been practicing enough, or doesn't know his limitations. Real professionals don't get into that sort of trouble.

As for the skanks, I recommend only doing this sort of thing in bars where you're a regular. Bar staff will generally be a bit soberer than you are, and can give you the wave-off if you're about to hook up with someone you'll be embarrassed about later. Whether they actually will or not is another matter.

You're probably right. Anyone who hasn't already seen where this value plan is going wouldn't have the sense to realise how much they've spent on 11 groin cups.

what if they got rid of inferno armor from the pack but left the price? would op not complain about it?

I wondered this myself, actually, and came to a conclusion that made me sad.

it's like all the people who complained that the free DLC we released with the game wasn't...free enough. since all of it was built from the ground up as DLC (and not cut from the game as some conspiracy theorists might think)

if we had just charged for it, there may have been less complaining ;)

The thing most are complaining about I think, is not the price of the DLC, but the "Exclusive DLC"(Inferno Armor) we got for pre-ordering that is now aviable for everyone.
There would be less complains I think, if BioWare would offer the same DLC for the same price with the Terminus-Armor instead of the Inferno-Armor.

I'd be happy to buy a Equalizer-Pack with the Terminus-Armor when the Inferno-Armor is also aviable.

this is pretty obviously going to be released, probably with different armour addons

i don't care that peopel who don;t already have it can get inferno armor, but that I'm paying full price for something, though i got for free, I already own is verily obnoxious. Why couldn;t they release the preorder armors in one dlc pack separately. That's what really grinds my gears. It seems liek there is no reason but to tick us off for releasing an itme many already own with stuff no one does. Are they just testing the waters to see how much crud the fan's ll take. Thought they already learned how badly they can treat us with us still grudgingly paying out for it with pinnacle station.

For every one complaining about the DLC pack look at it this way:

From day one lots of people have complained they could not get "this" special weapon or "that" pre-order armor. And from day one people have been wanting a purchasable pre-order/special edition DLC pack. So they finally let you get one of the special armors and those who have it are complaining?

What if they had a complete pack for $5 or $7 dollars say, of all the pre-order/special DLC? People would still complain that they had this item or that item so the pack was not a good purchase for them. And then they would complain that they spent so and so much extra to get all the special items and everyone else is getting it for only$5-6-7 bucks. Blah blah cry more.

So Bioware does the smart thing they start putting one piece of the old stuff with a couple of pieces of new stuff.

Good compromise right? WRONG! Or that's at least the impression you get from the boards.

Look, no matter what they do someone is going to complain. Even if they sold it piece by piece, someone is going to find a reason to kvetch. So buy it or don't buy it. But don't whine about it like Bioware molested you sexually with a chainsaw. Because really no matte what they do your going to complain.

I pre-ordered from Amazon, so I too have the Inferno armour already, but I've got the extra two bucks to sling around for the sake of a complete collection of extras. Just be sure to wake me when they release the GameStop "Exclusives".

I admit I've bought it, although more because I had spared those Bioware points from buying the Overlord pack, and I don't think Bioware will release many more DLC's that I'll buy (unless they're new missions). And well, I like the Archon visor for my Vanguard :)
