Seriously. It's a two dollar item. TWO DOLLAR DLC ITEM. TWO DOLLARS.

It's like seeing a happy meal and getting pissed because the box doesn't have your double quarter pounder, you fatties.

If you already have the armor or think the helmets are stupid because you can't hide them, here's a pro tip: DON'T BUY IT.

GASP.

No offense Zinoviy just piking you at random out of all the people saying we should not complain about two dollar dlc items.

Take a moment to consider The Pitt dlc for Fallout 3. Think of the new weapons and armor that came with it besides the new locations baddies and plot. Now compare the price of $9.99 to two dollars for some armor and tell me the Equalizer Pack is worth that money and I should not complain.

People are STILL complaining about people complaining about two dollars, when people are actually not complaining about two dollars but about what is in the pack for two dollars? Really?

Sigh.

Coming Soon from Bioware: The Collector Pack! Wear Collector Chitin Armor and use the Collector Assault Rifle for only 260BW Points!

That would be a big FU to all the people who payed more for the CE, since besides the art book and the tiny comic was the only good thing of value. I and many people would be really pissed off... <_<

If the Collector stuff was released FREE I would agree with this.  If people have to pay for the items as DLC I dont see the issue.  I know several people that wanted the CE but couldnt get it because it was soldout.  Now they'd have the option to pay for the armor/weapon they couldnt have gotten before.  People that got the Collectors Edition still got the art book and the comic in their purchase.  If you want to argue that it wasnt worth the cost go ahead, but letting people get the Collectors items *at cost* isnt a FU to anyone that got the CE on release.

If it was sold out that's too bad, that is why it is called a Collectors Edition, it's a limited edition, and so the bonus contents should be. But that is just my opinion... at least if they were to release the the CE armor and weapon, they should release the incisor rifle, blackstorm heavy weapon and terminus armor. Because I made my pre-order in the only place it had the CE in UK and what did I get for it? Nothing.

Edit: Game.co.uk was the only retailer that sold the CE and din't gave any pre-order items. The only way to get pre-order itens was for you to buy the regular editions in amazon.co.uk or play.com.

You got the ability to finish your post with that sentence.

That in itself was worth it I think.  Personal opinion of course.

Can we go back to talking about McDonalds now?  I'm hungry.

The bonus contents still are limited in collector editions. Be they art books, CDs, special items (batarang in Arkham Asylum),etc.   A line of coding for a weapon that hardly is game breaking or a set of armor that doesnt do anything different that normal armor pieces outside of a comestic difference are hardly items to be crying to be exclusive.  Your CE got you special items, you got what you paid for.   As for the Incisor Rifle, its already been stated that its going to get released in a DLC, or atleast a very heavy implication.  I have no doubt the Terminus pack will get similar treatment.

I went to the local cinema last week and they had these machines where you put a pound in and you get a random capsule with a Super Mario figure in it. Sure, it wasn't a whole game or even a game and watch game, but still, it's a cool little toy to have.

I don't have a problem with the ME2 people charging for these armour nit bits. To be fair, they've already given a considerable amount of stuff away for free online anyway (I love my little Prothean Sphere on my table!), so if they want to charge for a nifty bit of armour a artist and programmers made, why not?

ps: Thanks Bioware, I love ME2, please take your time for ME3. :-)

pps: Also, if you brutally murder Tali in the next game, I'll have to create some brass balls award for you, as I think that would be hilarious!

So we gave you free Firewalker/Hammerhead, gave you more story with Kasumi and now have a completely optional DLC of armor, but we have turned into the bad guys all of a sudden?

Except that a good chunk of the DLC armor is just re-releasing existing content. So yes.

Where did he say this? I haven't been able to keep up with these dlc threads

Actually, I won't buy this DLC. But don't rant, cry and make QQ posts.

If you don't like it, don't buy/download/install it. If a lot of people don't buy the stuff, Bioware will see that it's not right and won't do it again.

Easy and simple :)

yeah it is a video game, everything in it is pretty pointless. Fight the indoctrination and don't buy it. Or buy it and then complain because then you have actually gotten robbed. It's not a crime until it happens.

....and then what. Leave EA Bioware to their own devices to think up more DLC plans that may or may not address what fans generally want?
Naw, post your disapproval and why. So far a better idea would be if they continue to make the pre-order armors available via DLC, just do so individually and not bundled with new content.
This was an idea that sprung up in several threads you would call rants, cry, or QQ posts.

I am going to pass on the Equalizer Pack. Two goofy looking headpieces and an armor set I already have don't seem worth paying for.

I took a chance on some of the "junk" dlc like Appearance Pack 1 because I managed to get some free Microsoft Points, and even then I felt a bit ripped off. I don't really like Bioware's current DLC trend... I thought small stuff like this was coming out for free on Cerberus Network, and then we'd be paying for the larger content packs? If the Equalizer pack shows how it is going to be from now on, it seems like Cerberus Network is now pointless.

And besides, you can't call something the Equalizer pack without it including a .44 magnum, or the equivalent.

Personally, I think they should have sold the Inferno armor for $1 (80 MS points) so that people who don't have it could get it and released the two other helmets for free on the Cerberus Network.

My thread got shut down, so I will put it here:

I know that this has been said before, but I want to make my view of the situation clear as well.

People paid BioWare and EA big bucks through pre-ordering to get the Inferno Armor. If you didn't pre-order, you can easily get the game new for less than $30 on eBay. If you really wanted the armor (and could afford it), then you pre-ordered it. Now, however, BioWare and EA are trying to cash out again by making those same people pay for the Inferno Armor and two other helmets.

This is just wrong. You show off the Inferno Armor as a shiney exclusive object, and many of us bite on and pre-order to get it. But now, if we puchase the new pack, all we get are the two new helmets! We paid you $60 at launch for the bonus armor, and I feel that we should not have to pay an additional $2 for two hats and something we already paid you for.

Please, BioWare/EA! Release the helmets for free to those who already have the Inferno Armor. Don't nickel and dime us. I really like BioWare, and I really like BioWare's games, but I don't like what they're becoming...

Let me know if you agree or don't. I don't really care. This is my opinion.

I fully support BioWare making additional DLC, and I am fine with everybody getting a shot at the pre-order DLC, but it is just ridiculous to pay $2 for two helmets and armor that I already own...

While I like the new helmets, they should have made a suit of "Archon Armor" to match the visor, instead of packing in the Inferno suit.

The orange lights are sweet, but they don't match anything.

As for the price, I would love for ME2 DLC to always be free, but it looks like that trend is over (at least for now).

But two bucks for a couple helmets is not a ripoff (like Horse Armor).

Here's a good proposition: make a patch, that magical free term, for those who have pre-ordered the Inferno, to add coloring options and helmet-toggle via the armory. Price only the the new helmets.

For those who don't have, it's a far, far better deal than buying off Ebay.

I'd still appreciate if a dev would enlighten me how exactly is it fair to pay for something I already paid for with pre-order, was marketed as "exclusive", and in the long run is inferior to the one released later. So?

What I'm thinking, too.
EA support didn't give a reason-they just said "sorry for inconvience, same price"
