Why only the Incisor rifle? Why not the Collector Rifle or the Black Hole Gun as well? I have the black hole gun, but I wouldn't mind the collector rifle... I mean wouldn't it make sense for the gun to be in the game already? You're fighting armies of collectors you'd figure Shepard would pick one up at some point!

The collector rifle is even worse than the default rifle you start with, apart from being hideously ugly and soudning like a leaking valve. But yeah, good idea, why not rip off CE buyers, too, once they are done with people who preordered?:wizard:

i actually perform better with the collector rifle than i do the avenger, and i think it looks BA:wizard:

I can see what BioWare is probably thinking -- they have to keep things going in the DLC pipeline, otherwise people will forget the game.

But this isn't my idea of a solution -- I think everyone's done every mission in the game available by now, why do they need new gear to re-do them in?  Add to that the fact that unlike ME1, ME2 has something of a discouragement of NG-plus games, and there's a diminishing replay value to everything, unless Kasumi is that awesome.  (Note -- I'm not being sarcastic, I really don't know if she is or not :P.)

Of course, this reasonable tone is coming from me-who-growled-audibly-during-work, before I stopped and thought about the facts of the matter.  As in, content takes a bit longer to create than costumes.  Thing is, it's one thing to have two people who a vocal minority probably have been screaming for better outfits (ahem, Garrus and Jack, not saying any more), but this doesn't seem very worth it.  I beat the game twice without using non-standard-game armor already.

I don't know why people say they feel ripped off by the DLC, its not like you HAVE to buy it. Besides, $2 is is barely anything, and a lot cheaper than the extra money you'd have to pay for a seperate pre-order of the game to get the other armor set.

Or have people bought multiple copies of the game to get the armor sets and now feel P'O'd they spent hundreds of dollars on armor sets?

I think it's more to do with the fact that many people paid at the least $10 or more getting the armour as an "Exclusive" Pre-order bonus then finding out that you can no get it for only 2 dollars with 2 extra helmets, the others are more worried that other "Exclusive" content will be made available this way as well essentially making the extra money they paid to get it or the time and money to pre=order for that item pointless.

There are people who also paid extra to make deals to get codes from other players for these items also so they are probably feeling shafted from this also.

It is also the fact that this is just superfluous crap that BW has made in an effort to get money. They basically retextured  3 models for the Appearance pack #1, and now they're adding in extra bits of armor we dont need when they could be spending their time making some actual worthwhile DLC.

This DLC begs the question: If the Cerberus armor and the rest of the helmets were free, why not this armor? or why haven't they added in anymore weapons, since there are only TWO pistols in the ENTIRE game? or Why not add in other armor bits? We have enough helmets, why not get us some shoulder armor? Or some more foot/legwear? Or Casual gear? Also, is it just me, or does the blue helmet look like the Death whatever helmet with the bonus to negotiations?

But I already have the Inferno armor... that said I'm still going to get it. I have some points left over from the Kasumi DLC so its not that big of a deal. I hope there are more DLC announcements soon though.

:)

Which is to say, I hope Bioware will release some more mission/story driven DLC. Personally, better guns/armor etc don't tempt me to open my wallet. Just sayin' :innocent:

The game needs dlc with alot of meat in it like Point Lookout is to Fallout3 and Shivering Isles is to Oblivion which dose not interferer with the main story.

To be honest, I think they are going to need something like the Awakenings release for any bigtime story DLC. Id rather get a disk version if a big addon is going to be over a gig like for DA. As far as item packs go, Id be reaaaally partial to a sniper pack so my Infiltrator Sheps can go to town even more on the Shadow Broker when the time comes. As for this DLC, yea, Ill most likely get it....Im a loot fiend....help me....

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but the DLC Bioware mentioned to be shown "early next week", if I read correctly it doesn't include this equalizer pack.

So what we got left?

-Incisor

-Sentry, Umbra, Recon general availability?
-Collector/Blood Dragon general availability?

That's 18 dollars, 20 if you add the Collector rifle.

Damn! I thought, by the hype, that is was going to be the ShadowBroker expansion or something...not just little add-ons. Why is Bioware flicking us some 'pity' gear instead of expanding the story? More DLC dialogue, guys, c'mon. Sheesh, Bioware, I am really disappoint. :( No more coffee breaks for you guys until someone finishes ShadowBroker!

Oh, and Garrus

I have enough armor and weapons... I want new missions that last longer than an hour, and I am willing to pay a good amount for them.

I don't think the blood dragon/collector armor will ever be available those that didn't get a new copy of DA:O or the collector's edition of mass effect 2.

I'm not convinced that "Equilizer" is even a word. That alone is reason enough for me not to buy this.

Equilizer [sic] isn't a word. Maybe BioWare meant Equestrian.

Lol. They do that to the names of their weapons.

I don't think Mass Effect is the type of franchise that needs an expansion. It's better to sticking with solo missions like BDtS, Kasumi's Stolen Memory, etc.

Not buying...and at this point, I'm finished giving a crap about Bioware's future DLC for Mass Effect...it's all very disappointing, and at joke prices.

Good thing I started my insanity play through with my Infiltrator. Now I'll have something to do.

The only benefit it has is the larger clip size, which can be a slight advantage with some ammo types, actual dmg per shot is lower though.

Here are some stats:
Capacitor Helmet
Reduces the delay before shields start regenerating by 10%

Archon Visor
Reduces the recharge time of your powers by 5%

+the look badass.

Also...
For those of you who want the Incisor - trust me, we're listening. More info on that at a later date.
Also, stay tuned. We're still working on (bigger) stuff for you guys. Not just item packs.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking forward to all the goodies. Don't think I'll be buying this item pack though. Good to see you guys are still working! I hope this will become the norm for most of the games you release. Realistically, it'd be impossible for you to do it for all of them but...yanno!

Edit: To the person above me that says the Collector assault rifle is worse than the avenger...

From the Wiki:
Avenger Assault Rifle: 10.8 damage per shot, 100dps, 25%  armor/shield/barrier. 40/400 clip.
Collector Assault Rifle:17.4
damage per shot, 100dps, 25% shield/armor/barrier  28/280 clip.
Collector assault rifle has less recoil.

God some of you are just pathetic. It's AUD$2.70 for crying out loud. Lots of people don't have the Inferno Armour. I mean, they didn't charge anything for the Firewalker pack so in reality that balances things out. I like that Bioware are keeping things at least a little fresh with new items. It's not like DLC just comes out of thin air, it has to be designed, modelled, implemented and tested.

I actually felt Kasumi was under-priced. The loyalty mission was brilliant, it had a great atmosphere and a lot of effort had obviously gone into it, especially with the design of Bekenstein. You got a new squad member with an awesome unique ability and new bonus ability, a sweet new long-range SMG, new casual outfit, and a place to have a drink on the Normandy.

In fact they had finished some cool horse armor for ME2 but in testing it turned out there were no horses in the game, which was a bit of a shock at that point, so they had to put 5 minutes to good use to create an alternative - the equalizer pack!

Apart of inferno armor that majority of those who pre-ored has, this is ok. But have to agree with some above me that ME2 is very shallow and desperately needs more story content rather than items.

I understand that for some it might be a good idea, but so far I have any possible DLC downloaded including Dr.Pepper items, thus I have more head gear than needed.

But thanks for a DLC anyway!

So I get to pay 160 points for two new items & one redundant one...  Seriously need a way to discount the pack for people that already have the Inferno Armor due to their pre-orders.

And of course, this issue is gonna happen whenever the other pieces of "exclusive" gear become available as regular DLC too...
