the dlc is for those who got the standard, collectors edition, or the Gamestop Pre-order.

Also, this probably means that those of us who don't have certain pre-order items will get a chance to get them. It's a good thing.

Yes it is, for I want the singularity heavy weapon, and the Incisor Sniper rifle.

I have the heavy weapon. It's Ok, but I stick with the rocket laucher that Kal-Reeger has.

And how does my name having any bearing on how to judge a game?  Stop being silly.

If you haven't played a game you can't criticise it or compare it with another.  Simple.

You can if you do your homework on it. The guy who posted obviously did because he was right about the Mako.
If you can deny the validity of someone's opinion for a stupid reason so can I.

No you can't.

If I "did my homework" about ME2 then I would think it was one of the greatest games of all time.  I've played it; I judge that it's not.

You cannot hold a valid opinion about a game, a film, a book, or a song without experiencing them first hand.  Basing your opinions on those of others makes you fool.

I'm going on record saying, "You people need to stop ****ing about DLC." If you don't want it, don't download it. Simple fix. And to say Bioware is ripping people off by making new DLC available is just plain idiotic. They're not holding a gun to your head saying buy our stuff, or making the game unplayable to those without every single peace of DLC. To Bioware I say: Thank you for the new DLC. I don't like to wear helmets so I won't use any of these, but thank you. You didn't have to take the time to make this, but you did and that's great. As soon as I get some MP I will download this if only to say, "Hey look, I'm Cyclops."

I'm with you on this SpiderFan1217.  I personally am not worried about 160 points and like the new helmets.  I didn't pre-order from GameStop so I'm glad to add on the Inferno Armour.  I'm sure there will be new stuff coming.  I just hope it doesn't get oversaturated so there is still something left for Mass Effect 3.

The Mako sucked, I swear people are coming up with new and random excuses to hate ME 2. Seriously play a different game if you hate everything about it. You guys aren't gonna step on my time having fun with it.

I already paid for the DLC without looking on the forum.

However, I too had Inferno Armor for a while now (and all the rest), and I feel this is another ripoff.

Was the Hammerhead a grand piece of DLC engineering? No. But the missions were more fun than anything I did with the MAKO, it's free  in-game  cash, free XP, and just plain FREE.

Kasumi? Check the threads when she came out. The same people complaining now complained then just as bitterly "Aww, $7 for this?" "Bioware should be ashamed?" "Bioware sucks" "Kasumi sucks" "I saw Kasumi in a trade show demo clip last year, so she should have been free."

pftttttttttttttttt. Saying that Cerb network is free is like saying that healthcare in Canada is free

Kasumi's files were already in the fcking game. We pretty much paid $7 to unlock content that should have been in the game, but were purposely ommited to sell as DLC and make revenue.

PS: And all that secrecy is not helping your cause either. How about a timetable or at least a simple list of DLC to come?

You should use some of that common sense and realize that they'll never release a list or timetable of any kind.  Projects get postponed and/or cancelled.  The minute they release a timetable or even just a list and then that dlc doesn't come out or is late all hell will break out on the forums.  All hell breaks out every time the mere mention of dlc is mentioned or god forbid someone posts rumors about Liara/SB.

If the fans would calm down a bit (it's just a game dammit ) it might be possible to have a list/timetable of upcoming DLC and not have to take heat if this or that gets cancelled or postponed. A calm, honest and informative attitude would help everyone more than the current pendulum between obscurity [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/bandit.png[/smilie] and crazy-hype [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/w00t.png[/smilie].

My reaction is a resounding meh. I've already beaten the game on Insanity with the gear previously available. I have no desire to throw change at more crap. I'll wait for more story and mission DLC.

Shows what you know.
That rocket launcher is awful. The Arc projector completely invalidates it. It also barely has any impact or damage, unlike the starting heavy weapon.
Only useful against the heavy mech on Jacob's loyalty and Thane's recruitment.

At first all this sh*tstorm was fun, but now I'm jumping at the "just 2 bucks" bandwagon.

Oh, come on, people. What? Two packs of smokes? Pack of condoms? Well, until you're not REALLY desperate...

But "don't want - don't buy" is kinda stupid. You can't blame someone if he wants smthng big and offered with what we got here. No offence.

If you bought a retail copy of ME2 the Cerberus Network is, in fact, free. It's a value-added incentive. Unless you'd like to argue that, had BW chosen not to include it and the free content therein, they would have listed the game for LESS than, say, the $59.99 the 360 version goes for?

You're not going to argue that, are you?

[quote]Kasumi's files were already in the fcking game. We pretty much paid $7 to unlock content that should have been in the game, but were purposely ommited to sell as DLC and make revenue. [/quote]

So are audio files that let Tali join you on Freedom's Progress. So are Shadow Broker audio files.  So, what?

You can make any value judgements you like, but Bioware and EA can market THEIR products in any way they see fit. The only time I personally would be ticked is if they ommitted content essential to the overall narrative, then tried to sell it back to me ala Assassin's Creed II's missing chapters.

So far none of BW's content comes close

Don't like it, think it's a rip? DO NOT pay for it. That sends a message far stronger than infantile temper tantrums on a BBS.

No one really cares about the damn 2 bucks. It's the principle. For some reason it's a bigger principle for double paying for an item you already have.  It's the let down from the hype Bioware put out a week ago. For others still, they lement that bioware is going the way of the sims, making money off trinkets rather than investing in quality. Creating items of limited gameplay benefit, items that don't make you want to reply the game.

2 bucks? No one really cares. People cite it, but it's tangental to those other concerns.

Where can you get ONE pack of smokes for $2? I don't smoke, but $2 a pack has pretty much gone the way of 75 cent a gallon gas.

And I don't blame a person for being disappointed, I blame them for their petulant, whiny, self-important, entitled reactions to their disappointment.

BW:"Exciting new DLC"!
Us:"Yay!'
EqPack released
Us:"Booooo!"
BW:"News about REALLY (no kidding) exciting new DLC next week!"
Us:"Yay!!!!111"

So what? Don't you think they knew it all along? Or do they care about principles? I'm not trying to say EA and BW are all hungry-for-money heartless (here you can put something very offensive) but let's not get VERY idealistic.

Equalizer is NOT the exciting new DLC they were talking about. They already said it was just something released to hold people over until the big stuff is ready.

It's people like you that we have to pay for trivial bull**** DLC.

The company execs laugh their asses off since they can get away with anything.
