Could be a problem with LIVE maybe. I know in the old days, if you couldn't connect to LIVE, then you'd be booted out of the game. For games that didn't boot you out, then you're DLC wouldn't exist anymore till you were back on LIVE. When this happened in Oblivion, they'd all disappeared, and after getting LIVE back on, everything DLC item and quest had to be re-grabbed and re-done.

How often do you play your 360? Has it broken before? If so, how long ago before your current situation started happening? Your 360 may just have over heated because you play it too much. at least 35% of people have broken a Xbox. If you still have a warranty take it back. Mine broke. I sent it back and they fixed it and sent it back to me with a free month of LIVE.

I just got my xbox 360 2 months ago i left my xbox for 2 days after i found out the helmets were casuing my xbox to show an "disc unreadable" message.
I switched disc's and player profiles without the dlc and they worked fine and even the inferno armour worked fine so i know its the helmets and not my game disc's or xbox 360 .
I am rightly angry about this as i can't even play my me2 now and its basically made my player profile un-playable and half finished ..
sigh

I have a funny feeling that it's not "BioWare's" fault for the "lack of response" so much as it's "EA game's" Fault. Seriously, EA doesnt give a ****** about it's customers. Ultimately, all they want is your money and that is what killed Westwood Studios in the end IMO. Case in point is that BioWare made a VERY poor business decision by getting involved with EA. If they were smart, (to which they probably arent) they'd take action as soon as possible to get their contract anulled.

I reinstalled it on my 360 , but it still showed the same message , i am frankly anoyed that i paid 2 dollars to have my 55 dollar game broke , so again thanks bioware.. you truely have helped .They are lucky i dont sue for property damage..
Keep putting this out there, bro. It sucks how something so small can ruin a whole gaming experience. BioWare must not have tested this fully for something to happen like this.
Personally I think they're going to patch it up in future releases, I hope.
I'm glad I saved my $2 because of this! I hope they go the UbiSoft route and lower the price to $1 or nothing to counteract all the bugged copies!
LOl for one i not a "bro" but anyway i am pleased your seeing my side to this, i have emailed a dev who told me to post ina tech forum which i did and got no reply from , personally i am sick and frankly rather tired of this and in all rights have a broken video game because of dlc realeased by bioware.
So advice to all xbox 360 user's dont download it .
Should I still assume it's ironic that I red ringed last night while playing Mass Effect 2 with the Equalizer DLC when it was the first time I played using it?

Given the hard evidence being stacked against EA/BW on this one....Probably not. Wow...EA really screwed the pooch on this DLC apparently....And not only the pooch....But alot of customers as well. Were they sodding drunk when they coded this DLC or what? lol
As a fellow console gamer, Im going to do everything I can to help keep this thread active until someone at EA gets up off their dead asses and decides to actually comment on this obviously poorly executed DLC.

If I'm really lucky it's just a coincidence. (Another coincidence, the first time I red ringed was when I was playing Mass Effect 1 in 2007.) I'll let you know if anything else happens with my 360 or my Mass Effect 2 once my console's fixed.

Still no response in any way/shape/form from BioWarEA...aren't there numerous threads about unreadable discs?? Must go and have a look...I just started playing ME2 again (having grown tired of FFXIII), and I don't know if it's worth the risk to my console.
Im not joking when I say that EA doesnt give a damn about it's customer base. The way they see it, they arent responsible for the error so therefore they dont have to do anything. It's incidents like this that the ONLY new BioWare/EA game Ill be playing in the future is ME3. Until BioWare pulls themselves away from EA, I refuse to buy or invest in a single product that isnt related to ME1, 2, or 3.
Do they care about that? Hell no, of course not...They already have our money so what do they care as a whole? The only reason EA wanted anything to do with BioWare was because of Mass Effect and they wanted to get in on the cash cow while it's still making money. Once ME has been bled dry, they'll bleed BioWare dry just like Westwood Studios and then toss them aside.
But you know what? Im a firm believer in Karma....In which case, EA will get what's coming to them...It may take a few years, but it'll happen. And when it does, Im going to be first in line to watch EA crumble and fail.

Now I just have to wait for my Xbox to return from repairs before I can find out for myself if it fixes the issue.

Sorry, I won't pay a dime for stuff like this!
Give me new missions. Simple as that. New places to go, people to talk to, adventures, fun, romance or something fourth.
I liked the Zaeed and Kasumi stuff, although I was hugely dissapointed you could not interact with people at the party. But some silly helmets and armour isn't worth neither my time nor effort.
