Which makes it no different than Catholicism. The difference being that one has had two milennia to indoctrinate the masses.

Scientology is a business that charges for their form of guidance.
No form of christianity charges a believer for their guidance.

No, but they did offer paid DLC to get into Heaven way back when.

At first I was quite vehement about this pack(and I believe I made a rather nasty post last week about it actually), and while I still think bundling the pre order armor with it was a bad idea, I decided that I had enough excess points to take a plunge, since at least this stuff has an in game benefit, unlike the appearance pack.
The helmets look better in game than in the screenshots, to be fair, and the archon visor actually looks pretty snazzy on my Soldier Shepard. However, this is definitely my last micro DLC purchase for Mass Effect 2, unless Bioware adds more bang for the buck in the future. I hope to see them return back to making small stuff free through Cerberus Network(otherwise what is the point of having it), and only charging for bigger modules like Stolen Memory.
Edit: misquote you here my bad
no its basically a re.****** festival in here.
The point is they proffered a product and even you in all your rage decided you had enough points to purchase it.....suggesting you.. like the game, are a "need to have it w.hor.*", like to b**** for no reason. Sounds like they offered it at the right price then doesnt it.
They could have stopped with the actual disk (perhaps suicide in this day and age) but they didnt..........you got some stuff for free, and you have to pay for stuff.................u r willing to pay for Kasumi, clearly u didnt see the Kasumi DLC page
Whaaa $7 buck, whaaa not enough content, Wha biowar already had this in the game......wha wha wha.............there is very little "constructive" about any of this feedback

It is called constructive criticism. People don't like these small DLC packages for $2, so they're voicing their opinion on it. To restrict their opinion would be stupid. If they don't like it they won't buy it, that is obvious. Stating it is pointing out the obvious. No it is not worth the extra damage. They do not think it is worth it, but by your definition must hold all of their feelings inside. That is a terrible way to go. If people don't point out problems, they stay problems. I'm sure if Bioware released Kasume-sized DLC more often, there would be less complaining. Would there still be some? Sure. But there would be less. For the most part that is what people wantCloaking_Thane wrote...
1) where is the gun?
2) Don't buy a big mac meal for one day...buy dlc (this or kasumi)
3) forum members will complain about absolutely anything and complain about prices and being ripped off...........last i checked bioware/ea pay their employees in money not hugs from forum members.
4) forum members are a small yet hardcore fraction of the fanbase the sooner they realise this the better...........you either like the game or dont............they've proffered a DLC you get it or dont....the b**ch fests on these forums are comical...........get a paper route jesus
5) for the "content" arg.......you either think its worth it or not............is 2-3 bucks worth and extra % damage to your enemies for the entirity of your gameplay?
Its the way the market works..................
What exactly is the problem w/ offering DLC for 2 bucks?

I have been on A LOT of forums and let me tell you there is never enough to please the community.
If you want proof go to L4D.com and read the forums over there, every other topic is ****ing about something minor in a great game.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISCEM ON THE INTERENET (sorry for caps)

Lets see, I already own one of it, the other two seem to be identicle to the dr. pepper stuff. So its a piece of dlc that I pay two bucks and dont get squat in return for!! Hell if I could get the gamestop preorder item maybe I would consider it.

still, someone coming on here and telling me or even suggesting that I dont have the right to be angry is just rediculous. Being constructive is great....when it works. Like with companies such as Square/Enix for example.....But when a company makes a bonehead move like teaming up with another company that already has a tarnished reputation, they deserve whatever they get in terms of slander from the customers.
Look you have the every right to be mad. But instead in doing the demanding or how they grouped with another company is there business. You can post what you want to see for any new up coming DLC hopefully they take your suggestion and go for it.

i love pizza. it's my favorite food.
the best pizza i ever ate cost $18 and had premium ingrediants and was perfectly cooked.
i would have probably paid up to $30 for that particular pizza if it could be guaranteed to be that good again. i would never pay more than $30. i would not pay even half the original cost for anything less than a "good" pizza.
my income and ability to throw money around is no concern or issue.
this particular DLC is a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut that they are charging $10 for.
add to that i am not even particularly hungry.
add to that further, if they didn't use encrypted compression on their files, i have many friends who could make me a better pizza every day of the week for free.
ultimate value is subjective, but there is an underlying real value that can always be determined.

As i alluded to earlier, you can expect a DLC announcement for something larger next week. Trust me, we're very focused on supporting ME2 with DLC. Micro-content packs are not the only things we're doing.
Has there been any announcement? it's next week after all?
Just curious.

Then don't buy it.

Sucks for your friends, don't it?
ultimate value is subjective, but there is an underlying real value that can always be determined.
It's value is $2. If you don't want to pay $1 per helmet for 2 new helmets and get a formerly limited offer armor that you may already have free, then don't get it. Two dollars is not a lot of money. I earn that in about ten minutes 48 times a day.
If you don't want these helmets, don't buy them, but don't pretend for a damn second that anyone is being ripped off here.

All of this is subjective, the DLC's worth is $2 or $1 per helmet, if that doesnt sound like a good deal to you dont buy it.
DLC is optional, you can use the helmets and reap the benefits of X% damage to an enemy for the entirity of the game.........if it doesnt sound good dont buy it
I have a feeling you thought Kasumi was terrible, and the eviserator, and cerberus aromor and probably felt paying $15 buck for cerberus network was a rip...................it's market principles, dont like it dont buy it, there is very little quantitative about your feelings on its worth

No. Their business model just gets you on the back end, taking you for money and time after your indoctrination. I'd argue that at least Scientology is more honest with its followers, at least in that regard. Though every religion is abject nonsense.
