Bioware can take a leaf out of Dragon Age's newest DLC (Darkspawn Chronicles) and let us play as the Collectors in an expansion. That way, Bioware can save money and get only Shepard's VA to record a few lines. People won't have to worry about missing the story if they didn't get the expansion. Some players may even get a kick out of playing as Harbringer.

A expansion with a alien in the leading role would be nice. Perhaps something like a story about what Garrus did before and after ME 1. And he would bring his turian ex and Kalreegar with him. That way it wouldn't complicate and mess up the story and saves.

I'll be very disappointed if there's no expansion. ME2 is such a cut and dried rpg, and I hope Bioware will expand on some areas like the level cap, abilities, and some open world maps to explore.
I still love the game, but like many gamers I like lots of options, especially in rpg's. In fact I expect as much. Without flexibility and customization, you're killing the replay value of a game.

I hope you're right harry dread, as long as it roughly has the same quality as ME2 I'll be happy. Also, I think one of the above posters mentioned something about the Quarian/Geth conflict, if that was realized in an expansion that would be amazing.

I think it is safe to assume that there will be an expansion for ME2 at some point and it will more than likely have something to do with the Liara and Shadowbroker plot. It could be a section of the upcoming DLC that will tell the story between ME2 and ME3.

I effin hope there'll be an expansion. Maybe have it deal with getting the squad back together, maybe with convincing the galaxy of the Reaper threat, maybe something else I haven't thought about.

I'm all for an expansion pack for ME2, I hope it has a length of 17-30 hours.
I wouldn't mind for an expansion that has something with convicing the galaxy to unite against the Reapers or that rumored Liara DLC.

I'd definitely pick it up, if only it doesn't take resources and time from ME3. I hope they really expand on the characters in this case, and not just scrap them all for new ones.
