I would also like to know about Anora. Every time I send Anora to the dungeon, the eplogue doesn't say one word about her. Since she won't renounce her claim to the throne, I'm guessing Arl Eaman has her quietly killed. Nobles have no loyalty, and I'm sure they all jumped on Alistar's wagon right away. Poor Anora lost all her support when Alistar became King!

As for the ending, I agree it's too rushed. I know it would have taken Bioware months to create all the possible ending videos, but it would have been worth it.

I would of liked it better had you talked to King/Queen about your boon then you go outside. A cut scene happens (a lot of stuff could go into this, but I would satisfied with seeing the armies return home, and then maybe a scroll through Denerim to see the ruins and to get an idea of how big the crowd is). King/Queen does their speech then announces your boon cut scene ends. Then the King/Queen asks of your plans you answer plan x. Crowd cheers cut scene with celebrations in Denerim, Orz, Dalish, etc. After that cut scene you are in the palace saying your farewells to your companions with maybe two options to end to get to the epilogue one you leave the palace out the door(chasing morrigan, returning to orz, etc), and the other way to get to epilogue could be maybe choosing to stay the night at the palace by going to a bedroom or suggesting it to a LI(choosing to stay in denerim, serve the crown etc).

Come to think of it, it doesn't have to involve sex, although there could be a bed in the background (!) just him saying something like:

I know, at least from the Fem Cousland perspective, that the entire game build around the blossoming romance between herself and Alistair; not showing them marrying was a huge disappointment. I was unsure whether Bioware intentionally left out a wedding scene do to a future story line but when Awakening came we found out that was certainly not the case. There are still too many loose ends left for my PC after Origin's epilogue, I will be utterly disheartened if Bioware just ended it this way

As a side note, the marriage ceremony happens six months after Origins but before the events in Awakenings. I played a HNF who married Alistair the King (much to his surprise!). The epilogue balloon said we were married six months after the coronation then the epilogue went on to mention Amaranthine and the roving bands of darkspawn still ravaging the countryside.

I think that one of the reasons you see so little of the marriage, whether Alistair/FCousland or Anora/MCousland is that it's hard to do it justice without knowing what it involves. It is possible to have a purely political arrangement between FCousland and Alistair, and MCousland marrying Anora definitely is that.

In both cases when the marriage is political there is simply no room within the story for the player to explore their attitude towards the marriage in any detail. You could be aiming for a position of personal power or to be a loyal supporter of the King/Queen. Any interaction in these circumstances must be quite shallow as it must cover all bases.

I also think that Bioware is wary of making any one particular ending too iconic as they no doubt want all possible endings to be as well taken care of.

Maybe something for the modding community?

tell ya what....I'll get out the toolset....make you this 10 min cutscene (if even that long) and send it to ya for $5.  I'll even add voice-acting if you wish...it won't be alistair's voice...but since the scene would be so ****ing short..does it really matter?

anyway..$5...and it's yours.

if you have any intelligence all you need to do is THINK about this type of DLC....it's going to be extremely short..10-15 mins TOPS....unless they add idiotic fluff..like running around doing nothing....how CAN you be interested in this?  It's a stupid DLC idea...there would be NOTHING to it.

There may have been more in the end then what we actually saw, thanks to EA. THe begining of the game seems more solid and well done, but the end gets a lot of bugs, drops in FR, and missing scenes. Once EA wanted the game months before it was supposed to be out there was a lot of stuff cut. Who knows maybe the epilouge slides were done in place of cutscenes?

Honestly, I want this all-slide ending stuff to go away with Bioware games. Give us cutscenes using in-game graphics with the title cards, but actually show us what happens. It would be so much more rewarding, and I'd pay a few bucks extra per game to make up the increased cost.



You can be told about Brother Berkel (sp?) getting iced in Orzimmar, or you can see a 5-8 second cutscene of him getting Oswald'ed before moving on to the next 'slide'.

And I would have HATED a wedding on my Fem CousCous. She was in love with Zevran, but married Alistair out of duty. As pointed out, HNM/Anora is not a love match, and it's very possible that the warden is going through all sorts of heartbreak due to the way the Morrigan romance ends. Actually putting a wedding in would ruin the ending for many people.

It would, however, make an awesome mod.

I disagree slightly.  They created six origin stories to begin with so it's not unreasonable for them to create six different crowd presenting endings, or six dlc for each origin and how your preparing for your role as Commander for Amaranthine. DLC of one hour play for each origin.  Not that difficult, time consuming yes, cost effective...probably no.  I can still hope.   Start the dlc on the baloney for your adoring public.   That would be awesome. 

If you're a dwarf...did you return to orzammar, city elf....help rebuild alienage, and so on.

Can't they just have one video program that has a variable x, the player character?     I mean games like Guild Wars had lots of cut scenes where the video was the same except for the inserted PC character and his/ her henchmen.

Have I understood this correctly, that you are making a mod which shows the wedding of Alistair TO Anora?

I believe it is your wedding to either Alistair (F Warden) or Anora (M Warden). I was hoping Bioware would have done this to begin with - but no - instead we are given the ability to play as Darkspawn
