To me it's obvious if you pay close attention that Harrowmont is a douchebag. He's a traditionalist and an assembly member who is use to solving problems by compromise. In United States politics he'd be the bad parts of George Bush and Barack Obama wrapped up in one character. The hard part for me is to suspend disbelief enough to consider Bhelen a cunning and progressive ruler like the game wants me to. I end up swallowing the pill and accepting that crock but playing the Dwarven Noble origin and seeing how incredibility inept he was at getting rid of my character, he does not seem that cunning to me. He seems like the retarded brother trying to force his way on the throne and making every bad move imaginable to do so. He can only get on the throne if my Dwarven Noble character desires it and I can't see why she would. I could see my character dying out of shock when she found out how much of a reformer and competent ruler he becomes according to the epilogue. That being said, yeah by the epilogue Bhelen's the clear choice but to me both are pretty lame. Orzamaar is going down the toilet, the Dwarves will be lucky to still exist(other than a few on the surface) after another three or four generations.
