There's a new DLC out today. It's called the Equalizer Pack, and contains 3 items:

Capacitor Helmet - Reduces delay before Shields start recharging by 10%. It's a full-face helmet, but not a closed one (similar to the N7 Helmet option). You can see Shepard's mouth, but nothing else of his face.

Archon Visor - Reduces recharge time of Powers by 5%. Very useful for Power-oriented classes. Also the only Cooldown Reduction that applies to Combat Powers. Looks very similar to the SENTRY Interface, but with more tech along the sides of the head. It's a lot more intrusive than the SENTRY Interface, from a cinematic point of view.

Inferno Armor - This has been out for a while, but for those who don't have it, it gives:

+10% Negotiation (same as the Death Mask)
+10% Tech and Biotic Damage (inferior to the Blood Dragon Armor's bonus)
+10% Storm Speed

The cost for the DLC is 160 Microsoft or Bioware points. Also, it won't show up in the Cerberus Network, so 360 users will have to manually browse the game library to find it.

So. Am I the only one who was completely blindsided by this?

That may have sounded rude. Sorry if it did. New DLC announcments were expected since the Horizon thing on the ME2 website. (That's not me saying that this DLC is the Horizon DLC.)

What's the Horizon thing? I only watch this particular board, not the official site, so I had no heads up until I was browsing the wiki.

I don't see how. (And it already is. (And I don't know why I would want to pay for insanity being easy, it's supposed to be insanely hard.))

Headgear will make insanity really easy? Really?

What do these bits have that's so much better than a N7 helmet?

Go to the Mass Effect 2 website. Click the What's on the Horizon tab. It may be just a play on words. It may be a hint at about upcoming DLC.

It's the stat bonuses combined that will make it easy. I mean you're right, it is easy depending on your class, that hardest I've found to play insane on is Adept.

It's hardly going to make a big difference tommcq. You're expecting too much from this crap DLC

Oh. I was looking for one of the tabs along the top. Didn't even look at the news thing.

I was pretty frustrated too, I mean, they give us more armor when they haven't even fixed the goddam helmet toggle thing yet (afaik), but then, Christina Norman tweeted this ,so hopefully we'll get some actual substance soon.
Tweet about the DLC from Christina

yeah, I really wish they would give the option to toggle off the helmet during conversations.

What would've been cool: Terminus, Inferno, black hole gun, these two helms, the three Dr Pepper helms and Incisor rifle in the one pack. That's something that might be worthy of a few dollars and the name 'equalizer.'

Oh well. I really want that Inferno Armour and I got plenty of BioWare points, so..
