I'd buy it if I can figure out how to just add $2 of points to my account. So far I have to add at least $5 so Bioware would essentially be stealing $3 from me.

I have the same problem with Microsoft Points. I have 140 but I can't just add 20 or anything even remotely close.

Well those I could spend on more games or something.  The only thing I want to buy from bioware is this $2 item.

honestly I didn't expect this kind of wasteful DLC. I thought that it was about horizon. well, Bioware! don't play with me. so next time something DLC will be never free? if it will be happened, I won't be happy at all. I know that future DLC will be coming several times. but at least some of them should be free.

I see a lot of people making this mistake, the headline was not "What's on Horizon", the headline read "What's on the  Horizon".

it's not mistake. so 'horizon' is 'equalizer'. you know, roughly it doesn't make any sense. what kind of kindergarden I play with? if they do this kind, they shouldn't mention that 'horizon' at all. as I said, Bioware just play around us.

I am assuming it is a language barrier problem.

In English, the phrase "on the horizon" refers to something that is to come soon. As when the sun is on the horizon, you know it is nearly day.

Bioware was getting at that new DLC was on the horizon, or was soon on its way.

What's the horizon dlc?

Go to the Mass Effect 2 website. Click the What's on the Horizon tab. It may be just a play on words. It may be a hint at about upcoming DLC.

This is the "Horizon DLC "  Don't get your hopes up rofl.  Way to overanaylyze.  If it's something big, you'll know about months in advance.  I like the look of the New Gear, about time they gave items suitable to Tech and biotec specialists.

Didn't love the DLC. Two helmets and an ugly armor? Bleah.

Not all DLC is for everybody. For my part, I am totally at loss as to why people are calling for more weaponry and armor and fluff - the basic game has more than all the gear I care for, but to each his own - I wouldn't try to keep them from from hitting the checkout desk, with yet another acquisition to their arsenals and not just because I'd think them overeager to try out the new pew-pewy trinket.

Buy the stuff that interests you and pass on that which doesn't. Should there be something that nobody wants, the lack of sales will be Bioware's feedback.

My pre-order bonus was the terminus armor/weapon, so I missed out on the inferno armor the first time around. It's definitely nice to have around since I don't have the blood dragon armor (yet) and I primarily play as adept and engineer. The capacitor helmet is absolutely lovely on insanity. I found it to be $2.00 well spent. I think the Kasumi DLC should've been cheaper, (around $5) but I find her to be the most valuable character I've got. Shadow strike is epic.

There isn't going to be a new mission on Horizon.  Usually I speculate on this sort of thing like crazy, but since there was a mission on there already; usually in the ME universe, when you complete a mission on a world (other than a hub world like Illium, Omega or the Citadel), it is one and done.

Count on it being the Liara DLC.

well, Bioware just say joke sometimes. I heard that there will be new DLC coming next week as well. it's called 'larger pack'. so is it some kind of joke, too like equalizer pack? it's been told by ME2 project manager two days ago. so should I believe it or not?

The problem with the new helmets is that they're ugly, and mostly useless. They don't give you an advantage over what you already have, or at least not as much to pay 2 dollars for. If you've beaten the game 4 times by now like I have, then you know this will not tip the scale at all. Everything about them just looks over done. If I want a helmet, I want something Boba Fett style, or more realistic. These look more steampunk/Star Trek.

Inferno Armor - This has been out for a while, but for those who don't have it, it gives:
+10% Negotiation (same as the Death Mask)

+10 % negotiation  bounus ? What would that be ?
It doesn't give a preferred rate at a merchant's kiosk, that's for damn sure
And it doesn't seem like your paragon/renegade bars grow either...

Actually, your Paragon and Renegade bars do grow. However, the bonus only applies when you're actually wearing the helm or suit. Shepard doesn't wear any arnor on the ship, so he recieves no bonuses from whatever he's wearing. To see the bonus, you need to head somewhere where he actually puts the armor on, such as the Citadel or Omega. If you look at your Paragon/Renegade score before landing, then look at it again after you're on the planet, you should see a small boost to your bars.

I do think they need to tone the helmets down a bit. Stuff like the Kuwashi visor and the Sentry interface looked cool, primarily because they looked practical and futuristic - the new cooldown reduction visor looks like something out of He-Man.

I'm definatly not getting this DLC. I preordered at amazon so essentially Bioware wants me to slap down $2 for.. helmets. Helmets have virtually no affect on gameplay from my experience (some have a small effect). I love the game, but I'm not paying for armor I already have and useless crap. If they want to put out the gamestop exclusives for this price, then we have a deal.

I think, ultimately, we have a catch-22 situation here. If they don't make the gear powerful enough, people won't buy it. But if it's too powerful, it'll interfere with balance. I'm not convinced there's a sweet spot in the middle where you can balance the two issues. 5% stuff just isn't that big a deal.

I'd have probably paid the asking price if they threw in stuff like the Blackstorm and Terminus armour.

After I Downloaded the Equalizer pack it slowed down my game and it is unplayable, I can't even do the matching bubbles unlock thing for safes and doors too slow. It worked flawlessly before that...
