Its only 400 Microsoft points. I am a Ps3'er myself, but that seems like a very small number- what were the other DLC's point values? Maybe its just a Comic, or something like that. It seems like its gonna be pretty insignificant.
Oh yeah, and BTW the latest Firmware update from Sony has borked DA on the Ps3, I'm curious how they are gonna spin this "latest DLC" when they haven't fixed problems all versions have been struggling with for the last six-months....
Good Luck!
EDIT: Return to Ostagar was 400 points, so maybe this will be another re-tread of an already rendered environment with some beasties thrown in.

This Darkspawn Chronicles appears to be an add-on to Origins like the previous DLC (ie another destination spot on the Ferelden map). Who knows? Maybe it will tie in with the Architect and some of his early work with the Darkspawn.
Or maybe - a Darkspawn Origin where you can choose to be a Genlock, Hurlok or Ogre and your conversation options are:
1 > Raise your arms and growl!
2 > Draw your sword and threaten!
3 > Decapitate nearest foe!
4 > Disembowel nearest foe!
5 > All of the above
No other conversation options are required since there are no companions and no romances. Your only quest is to slay as many non-darkspawn on sight!

The Darkspawn Chronicle! Your daily darkspawn newspaper. Today's headlines: Vicious surfacer kills Archdemon, slaughters thousands. Broodmothers weep for lost sons.
Agreed, a patch would be nice to save Awakenings at the end. Strange no official announcment. Hmmm, maybe another feastday prank type thing. The DLC will pop up just like the feast day gifts.

judging by the price. it will probably be another one hour adventure like Return to Ostagar. oh well, I hope it brings some cool armor and achievements at least
And like RtO, I expect the items to be transferrable to Awakenings.

A patch for Awakenings bundled with an Origins DLC?? Doubtful. I think players would seriously complain about having to buy a DLC in order to get a patch. If there is to be a patch, it SHOULD be freely distributed.
lol, of course it was not meant like buying a patch, it was meant that the dlc uses a new version of dragon age, so a patch could see the light before the dlc comes out
