If it comes bundled with 1.03, I won't buy it. I don't want any add-ons that fundamentally change gameplay in the core game.
I already undid the spell nerfs from 1.02, but 1.03 changes the engine, and I can't mod that out.
It seems pretty much guaranteed that it will require 1.03 (RtO already does) so... bummer. Hopefully they'll release the new patch before then.
RtO doesn't require patch 1.03. It runs just fine on 1.02.
If the new DLC requires 1.03 it will be yet another one I cannot use. FeastDay DLC needed 1.03, as does Awakening & I can't run either of them. The PC tech support forums seem to be getting ignored.
I hear ya Elps. I have everything up to and including RtO (since that only requires 1.02... or is it 1.02a?) and I am quite happy to stick with my 1.02a patch. I'm not going to take a chance on 1.03, especially considering the total silence on the possibility of a new patch topic. Since Awakening and the Festday DLC both require 1.03, I am just going to have to go without. Haven't bought Awakening and am not planning on spending $40 on a game that requires 1.03 to run. If and when a new patch will be released, I will wait and see what folks braver than I have to say about it, whether it addresses the bugs introduced with 1.03 and Awakening (and hopefully doesn't introduce more game breaking bugs). Then and only then I shall think about shelling out my $40 on Awakening.
Yes, I am very curious and excited about this new DLC... BUT, generally any new software that Bioware will release would require the latest patch to run. And for now, that is 1.03. So unless they come up with a new patch to fix all these problems OR this new DLC will only require 1.02 or even 1.02a patch to run, guess I will not be getting this DLC either.
Think I'll just stick to the wait and see approach... Keepin' my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
