I have tried eamiling for help, tried the live chat, now told have to be in forum for hopefully an answer. Of course Rick wouldn't say which forum, so it is again hit and miss.

I am getting so darn frustrated with the help with this game, I winder why it is that a card cannot be added in the game just to let a person know which keys to use on the keyboard.

I keep trying to do a "hack" on the different "data" things I find in the game. (not the safe with the symbols). I finally figured out it was the W,D,A,S keys to move between the different boxes, but I can never select any of them. As of the 3 chances, I never lose a chance either.

If there is anyone that can help, it sure would be nice, but I am sure not too happy with the help one gets with the game.

You ignored the sticky:

Chris Priestley's Fill in the blanks instructions:

If you don’t find a similar problem already reported, consider starting a new thread. Note that most of this information can be obtained by using the game’s Configuration Utility which is available by pressing the [Configure] button from the game’s launcher:

1.      Which Game Are You Playing (Can be skipped over if it's ME-2)

  a.      Since this forum is (WAS) for both ME1 (PC) and ME2 (PC) it’s important (previously it was) to identify which product is experiencing the problem. (That situation in't true any longer, however, please see item 1-b, below.)

  b.     Media: physical disk or digital download (and which vendor)

  c.      Configuration Utility | Game Tab

    * Version Information: MassEffect2.EXE

2.      System Details

  a.      Configuration Utility | Summary Tab

    * Processor / Core Speed / RAM

    * Display Adapter / VRAM / Driver Version (just saying "latest drivers" doesn't help)

    * Sound Adapter / Driver Version

  b.     Configuration Utility | Platform Tab

    * Operating System (& service pack if applicable)

    * Direct X Version

3.      Problem Details

  a.      When it comes to problem details, think about the five basic questions: Who? What? When? Where?  Why? Okay, so “Who?” doesn’t really apply here, but the others do.

  b.     What? What is the nature problem that you’re seeing?

  c.      When? When does the problem occur? Every time you engage in a particular action or only after so many hours of play?

  d.     Where? Where does the problem occur? Is the problem localized to a particular planet or does it occur everywhere?

  e.     Why? As much as possible, can you isolate the problem to a specific set of steps?

If you follow these guidelines, and provide the requested information when posting, it will increase the likelihood that someone will be able to help you diagnose the problem and find a solution.

Please report issues, after checking these steps, in new threads.

P. S.  Please use every day business style punctuation and spelling.  Solid blocks of unbroken text are ignored, as is foolish TM-style misspelled & unintelligible gibberish.

Well sorry for ignoring the "sticky"

I did see another forum which said ME1 so I assumed this would only be for ME 2.

As for all the info, as I never felt I had any problem with the game, but rather a lack of information as to which keys to use, I didn't think all the other information was practical.

You see it isn't a problem as what you have discribed, it is simple what key does one use after moving over the option one want to try?

Surely that can't be that difficult. Once I know what key, if that doesn't work, then yes I would say it is a problem, but as of now I don't know if I have a problem. As I said it is lack of information as to what key to use.

I even check the key binding, and there is nothing to tell me what to use for hack the data.

As for looking for any one with the same concern, I started, but there are quite a few pages to even start to go through.

Sorry if this seems long, but I still wonder just why EA has an email thing if one has to go here to try to find answers.

The magick key is the spacebar. You could have just tried a few different keys, at least the spacebar, since it's used as the "select key" in most parts of the game. It would have saved you some trouble. I agree, though, that the controls were not so obvious from the beginning.

I maight have thought of that, but I had talked to someone that plays the Xbox360 version, For them it was the A button, which I was told was the same as my left mouse button. I had then gone with it had to be either the left or right mouse button. I had only tried using ghte enter and letter keys of the keyboard, but you are right, thinking on it, as ithe space bar is used to open door and retrive items, I should have tried it.

Thank you for the help.
