High quality miniature replica Grey Warden and darkspawn swords are now available for purchase on the BioWare store http://biowarestore....age-accessories . These swords which are used as letter openers will allow you to hack and slash open any bills and slay any junk mail that comes to your door.

For a limited time, Collector’s Editions of both desktop swords will be offered from Epic Weapons http://www.epicweapo...ome.php?cat=251 and feature antique gold plating on the hilt of the swords. They also offer stands to help you display your sword on your desk.

For more information and to buy a desktop sword check out The BioWare Store or Epic Weapons today!

Cool!

Btw: Do you have any news on when we will see a new pc-patch, so that we can play the game again? As you probably know it is not possible to play the game after 1.03 without random crashing - even with the very best computers. Take a look at the support-forum.

Kinda cool. But as -Zippi- stated, what about a patch? No patch = me won't buy mercs.

If you look at the support forums too, there is several posts that people including my self have put up to help stop the crashing after the 1.03 patch.  I did some minor fixes and no more crashes. Image IPB

Back to the topic at hand.  I already ordered the Warden version of the sword, today.  This will definetly be a nice addition to my collection.  Image IPB

Two thoughts.

One. My last Warden used Maric's blade almost exclusively. I don't think I've ever seen 'Render' in game.

Two. I will not be fooled. The last time in game I chose the steel letter opener I was injured. Letter openers are only safe if they are made of grey iron.

I would like a miniature statement from BioWare (or is EA pulling the strings here) as to the progress of the next patch.

It is not acceptable to expect end users to hack their way to a stable gaming experience.

The monetary resources used to develop and market these stupid gimmicks could have been used to employ a coder/developer to support the game. This EA takeover of BioWare has proven to be everything everyone expected it to be.

Stop hawking cheap wares and fix the game we already paid for!

How I think the last Bioware meeting went:
"what do our fans want most?"
"patches?"
"patches? they dont need no stinkin' patches!"

"I got it! Give them a letter opener of a sword that wasn't even in the game!
One they've wanted to have in the game since the sacred ashes trailer!"
"YEAH! And next we'll sell them our own spit so they can rub it in they're face!"

EDIT:

Probably sounds really harsh.. but I mean.. it is... we've all been talking about how much we want another patch, cuz we love the game but want to enjoy it without any faults (or as little as possible). And instead of any sort of updates even on a patch, we get news about more merchandise you want us to buy! And one of the swords is literally something thats not even in the game! It sends an odd message to the community.

Bioware, this is not good enough. If you want people to invest in rather worthless junk like this then take the time to fix your game.

All 3 platforms are in dire need of a new patch, make that happen and maybe we buy this cool but worthless junk.

Like I would buy anything else from you people before you fix the stuff I already paid for. I want Shale and the Blood Dragon armor now! Fix the PS3 version and stop posting useless junk.

I really don't see the point in crying over the fact that there is some merch available. Yeah, the game is buggy, and I'm sure BW is working on it. Would it be nice to know what the status of the patch is? Of course it would, but bashing the company for letting us know about a *licensed* bit of merchandise is in my opinion quite ridiculous. There are other threads for that sort of thing, in this one let's just talk about the nifty new shinies...

Yes, because a little bit of shiny is all it takes to distract everyone from the glaringly obvious bugs that have been in dire need of fixing for months now.

Same shock here. I was going to order the Collector's edition ones but... well, I just hope they will be offered at Bioware.

Yes, I like them and I want to buy them. I only regret they're not a bit bigger (1:3 scale would have been great!)

Nope. How about we talk about BW ****** poor support in every single thread. Maybe then they might actually do something about fixing the games. SIX months and still no fix means BW deserve to get absolutely rubbished in every post they make. Its simple FIX THE GAME and we will have nothing to complain about.

I'm sure the dudes that smelted, created and produced those things for BioWare know a whole lot about coding.

As we all know, the best people to fix things is people that don't know how in the first place.

I'd buy the regular ones from the BioWare store, atleast they have a more reasonable $14 shipping, but they don't have those stands :pinched:
