[Rufus Leaking]

So while the hanging problem is definitely stepping on my funk, I have another problem going on at the same time, and two chats with EA online support have been nothing but infuriating. There are a few things going on, and I expect they are related. Perhaps somebody here can fill in the blanks.

I have a PSN account. It is associated with a given e-mail address.
I have an EA account. It is associated with the same e-mail address.

If I look at my EA account, it now thinks I have 4 "personas" associated with my account, 3 of which have to do with Dragon Age in one way or another. One is my PSN account, one is called DragonAge_<big number>, one is called RufusLeaking (Dragon Age Journeys), and the 4th is hopefully irrelevant, as it has to do with Spore.

The real problem I want solved is that I downloaded and used their character creator, which is supposed to provide me with a downloadable item in-game on the PS3. I have not received that item. I also played Dragon Age Journeys, and unlocked 2 of the 3 in-game items. I also can't seem to get those. The ring from the character creator would be the difference between Alistair being able to wear the Dragon Scale Plate armor I just got and being too weak, so I'd kinda like to sort that out before going into the final battle.

Perhaps related. For a while my profile updated just fine. Then I noticed that it had stalled out at level 10, while my main character was up to level 20. Now I note that if I go to social.bioware.com and look at my profile, I see no characters at all. Not my character from in-game, not the bogus characters I made using the character creator, nothing.

My hunch tells me that these items/characters are getting associated with different "personas", whatever that means, and that is what is leading to the confusion. But if so, I'm not sure how to prove or fix it. From chatting with EA support, I got gems like,
"That is an in-game issue, and we can't provide tips or hints." Huh? How on earth does this have anything to do with game play?

Then there was a really fun exchange where I was asked, "Do you know where to find these items in game?" I said, "Yes, they should be appearing on the DLC page." He then told me no, that isn't where they appear. So I said, "Oh, that's good news if I've just been looking in the wrong place. Where are they?" To which he had no answer, and eventually said it was confusing and he'd have to refer me to level 2 support. Who then never responded to me.

So. Getting my profile to synch would be nice. Getting the items to show up in-game on the PS3 would be much better. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the matter?
