The Broodmother and then the High Dragon. Those two are the only bosses I have problems with.

I guess it would be the bandit random encounter in the Brecilian Forest, if I'm at a low level. Also the Queen of the Blackmarsh.

For some reason I always (and I mean at least once every playthrough) die in the Fade. It's the section with right after the servants who randomly attack and the four demons that comes out of the fireplace...those four mages in the next room always manage to take me down and I still have no idea why...

^^This!  So very much this.  Everytime it takes me 6 or 7 times dying before I finally get all those mages.  I can't even tell you why, I don't have problems with any other cluster of mages, just them.  Its like 30 second insta-death, for which I have no explanation.

Cauthrien's little ambush squad, followed closely by the Broodmother. They were only problematic on my first playthrough though.

I always get seriously ganked at the entrance to Fort Drakon. I just can't seem to get a decent strategy to deal with the Drakes, Emissaries, and other mobs effectively.

Oh, definitely. If I don't go straight for the drake he kills everyone.

YES! I tried and tried and changed forms and everything and they killed me almost instantly. But if you open the door and stay out of sight they kill off eachother and you just finish off the last one standing.

I had enourmous troubles with Redcliffe the first time I played. Because Alistair urged and urged to go there I thought the game intended it to be visited first and that it would be easier. But then came waves and waves of skeletons, my party barely clinging to life... I thought the game was bugged the way they just kept coming. And when I finally made my way down to the chantry and wanted to keep the villagers from dying most of them were killed off before my party even came down the hill. In the end I only managed to save myself and the bearded guy Image IPB

Yes, arriving unprepared for Redcliffe was rough. Didn't have Wynne and Morrigan couldn't heal... and I also had few potions. Seemed to be no end to the attackers, and the number of defenders just got lower and lower because I could neither heal them nor tank properly. Took more tries than any other battle in the game, or maybe it just felt like it.

My first revenant. They aren't so bad when you level up, but my very first character was an elf. She went to find the Dalish first. That very first revenant in the Brecilian forest and its skeleton henchpersons cleaned my clock.

that 1st ogre fight on nightmare....

I was gonna say this, but fighting Ser Cauthrien when you first try to escape with Anora is borderline suicidal.  In fact, I had created a thread on here last year I think asking, "Why is Ser Cauthrien more powerful than the Archdemon?"

You can really tell you're not meant to win that fight.  You're supposed to go to the dungeon.

The fight with the demon in the torn veil room in Soldier's Peak, the one that summons skeletons that heal it, and support demons.. and.. yeah, that fight is HARD.

The Arcane horror in the Brecilian ruins is getting on my nerves right now. How do you even hit this guy with a solo warrior? Damn!

If not soloing... There are 4 pressure plates on the floor. Sending one party member to each can disable the Arcane Horror teleports (he might teleport once, and then be "stuck" for a time). There seems to be a fine line between success and complete failure in that fight, so just try again until you pull it off.

I think the single toughest fight for me has been the second 'break in' job in Deneriam... the one where you break into Howe's wearhouse. I get wiped all over the place. Sometimes I get lucky and pop off an aoe that eats/freezes the mobs up... but usually I end up dead in a matter of seconds...

I only played through once (well, actually I did half of the game on normal difficulty first, then restarted and finished it all on nightmare). Once you get the hang of it, the game is pretty easy. I died only three times: 1) Circle of Magi, killed by the desire demon commanding the templar (guess I got distracted by her well-shaped appearance); 2) Alienage, when I stupidly entered the slavers' building alone; 3) In one of the fights close to the end, when you face those two small dragons and their many companions. I was disappointed by the archdemon fight, it was far too easy.

wow, good to know....

I just gave everyone ranged weapons. He doesn't teleport if you don't go into melee range.

The Revenants kicked my butt consistently the first playthrough. Slapping Mark of Death and Curse of Mortality on them right away helps. I still have trouble with the blood mage house in Denerim. I've had the quest for that for a while now and I'm still putting it off :P Dreading that one lol.

I found Flemeth to be the hardest enemy in Origins.

In Awakenings there were no problems at all, save the final boss where i had to reload (twice!).

Dunno about you guys, but the 1 on 1 against Loghain in Nightmare difficulty was my toughest challange o.O Kept stunning me and shield bashing me untill I was down for the count >.>. At least with my first character that was a dual wielding warrior (2 long swords). With my Rogue and Mage, not so much.

I would say when I had to fight the different Revenants. I often have problems with them except if I have a mage with some good abilities to use on them.

Cauthrien by far. Her fight is an absolute beast, if those archers manage to get a volley in before your mages can stop them your screwed. Not to mention they disrupt AOE spells like nobody's business. Cauthrien herself can easily take down a warrior in Dragon Bone plate wielding Starfang. That said, the annoying bint has never survived one of my playthroughs.

I'm also going to say that the Archdemon is an absolute monster on the Xbox, you have so much less control over whats going on in that fight it's horrible. Yet on the PC I can solo it whilst my other party members fight random Hurlocks.
