What do you think of Nida? Would you do the samething she did to her husband, for being gone for months at a time, even though he was doing his duty as a Grey Warden , trying to make the world a better place?
I know he didn't keep in contact with her, but still.

And Guys. What did you Think of Nida? Was Keenan selfish for staying in married to her?

Dosen't love mean sacrifice? I don't think Nida fully understand what the blight is, and why Keenan has to be gone for months at a time.

Well I'm no grey warden, but I used to deploy to foreign places for six months at a time and both my wife and I stayed faithful. Nida is the classic faithless wife. If she didn't want to stay with her warden there was always divorce.

I agree with Marso40. She believed her needs superseded that of her husbands and therefore felt no guilt about her affair. She was stupid and childish.

I don't think what she did was right, nor am I condoning it, but clearly Keenan hadn't told her about the Wardens being essentially sterile after the Joining. He seems to have joined the Wardens out of idealism without any idea of how it could affect his marriage (not that I blame him; the effects are a secret, after all).

Nida should have been up front and confronted him about her unhappiness instead of sneaking around, though.

You marry someone, you stay faithful. The woman is a sleaze. He was too good for her.

Which of course continues the theme of horrible things happening to good people which runs through Awakening.

Don't know what the vows are in Ferelden, but I seem to remember "for better or worse" being one of them. Shame on her. She should have asked him for an annulment if she wasn't happy. Cheating is just that -- cheating. I'm glad he didn't have to get a "Dear John" letter.

Personally, I don't think they should ever recruit anyone with familial attachments. Duncan should NOT have recruited Jory who had an expectant wife. If you look at the GW origins, the PC has no firm ties to anyone (ie spouse or children).

I agree Marso40 its the same as being in the military or just being over seas Nida is deffiently a faithless wife and to top it off she hooks up with a douche of a man with a mean voice, and he seems to be abusive from the sound of his voice.

Can't think of any excuse for infidelity. If you can't handle the time apart, show the other person the respect of breaking up.
