^_^

And yet I still can't play mass effect.

so..what does bioware suggest I do......as a paying customer who has seen no process what so ever in customer support (( http://meforums.biow...orum=127&sp=405 )) cute how you have 2 forums...?

Should I:
A) put Mass effect back on my shelf for another 2 years :o
or
B) Throw it *my $40 game I payed for* away :D

really....as a paying customer who basicly bought a box with pretty pictures printed on it for $40. pretty as they maybe. but not worth $40

from the looks of it you've given up on mass effect 1 pc altogeather*ME2 eh?*. So can I have a refund...or A free copy of ME2....I mean I was only Screwed out of $40....but I rather have a refund, after what I've been through with
your software....I don't think I'll touch another one of your Products really. ^_^

:wizard: magic.....it will be magic if I yelled anything from this :wizard:

I'll repost if deleted just for you...you know so I can get my point across B)

I've done everything I could to get it to work, I've even posted on the *?old?* forums seelink

I just have hardware that ME doesn't like.....Im not going through the Whole Install 50 Drivers see if it works...hell I even reinstalled XP.....nothing...I don't want Support...I've downloaded all the patches...hell I even got a crack for this I was able to play...unlike without a crack*the menu doesn't look that great..but its all I got to see"

so far the only steps I found to be most effective is
################################################
1) Stop playing the game. Do NOT launch it again.

2) Do not manipulate ANY game files or folders, or change ANY game settings.

3) LEAVE THE GAME INSTALLED. Do NOT uninstall it unless specifically directed to by Bioware and/or EA.

4) Wait for official Bioware/EA-sanctioned fixes. Do NOT apply/ attempt ANY suggested/ alleged 'workarounds' that involve manipulating/ changing game system files by the MEPC player community. This will ensure as high a level of game/ system integrity as possible. If this step is unclear, please see step #2.

By taking these steps, I've ensured that my system no longer completely locksup, w/o kybd/mouse response, when playing MEPC.

There is 1 additional step that may be necessary:

*5) If step #4 does not yeild any positive/ constructive results- Do Not Buy Another EA-published Game.

I'm confident that anyone following these steps will see a complete and absolute reduction in the occurence of whatever problems/ errors they are experiencing while playing MEPC.
################################################
These seem to be a cure all for any problems.

P.S: I've tried posting this in the other forums...but Seeing how its not good PR for bioware..I guess they locked it or something :D

Actually, I imagine step 1 would be sufficient to prevent lockups.

You could sell it, you know.

What are your system specs?

And has this user been banned or something? He has no nickname or user profile.

I bought this game also two years ago and I cant play it more then 22 min befor I get the black screen and Ive been looking all over the forums and Google for help and even asked the support but with no fix to the issue. The weird thing is I can play ME 2 without any problems at all. Everything on ultra settings and no black screen.
