Of all your squad members in ME1 and ME2, who would be most suited as a
Spectre?
Please forget about the fact that Humans/Turians/Asari/Salarians have a
bigger chance of becoming a Spectre.

And why?

I vote for Garrus, because he could handle himself pretty well on Omega, has a lot of C-Sec experience and knows how to fight. He's a good example of a Spectre imo.

It would be great if one of your companions can become a Spectre in ME3.

What kind of idiot would make Grunt a spectre?

Garrus, no question.

But if I couldn't choose Garrus...I'd go with Kaidan because he wouldn't seem to be one to abuse his privileges.

Miranda

She resigned from Cerberus - she is unemployed^_^
(unlike Garrus) she gets things done

I vote for Garrus. It would be awesome to see him becoming a Spectre.

It would also suit his personality imo - as a Spectre he would get things done :-)

Also...he may've had problems as a leader in the past but he redeemed himself at the "suicide"-mission (in my playthrough) as a team-leader, so I think he'd be ok in that department, aswell.

So again...Garrus is my choice here.

My first choice is also Garrus. I expected him to become a spectre in ME 2 and Shep had to watch over him (you know, like Nihlus with Shep). Didn't play out like that. But he would be qualified.

Kaidan would make a good Spectre too. A trained biotic with great experience.

Garrus, no doubt. Kasumi would be good too, she keeps out of sight trouble while gathering valuable information.

This poll is biased, its missing out the one guy who most should be a Spectre: Conrad Verner! Look deep inside yourselves, you all know it to be true. However, since the OP obviously can't see this vital truth, I'll say...Ashley. Everyone else has already said Garrus, and she or Kaidan appear to be doing some sort of Spectre work already.

Garrus and Kaidan, the rest is unqualified by either being a fighting machine (literally with Legion), having too much resentiments against specific groups (like Ashley and Miranda), or being straight-out-killers.

I can't see Krogan to be Spectre's, because they are just too reckless to get in touch with delicate situations. Either they slaughter everything or they join them. Suboptimal!

Thane could do a good Spectre, though he is likely to die in the near future, thus making him a poor choice.

Only Garrus and Kaiden embody the qulifications on each skill, experience, proficiency and mental stability to fulfill the duties a Spectre bears!

P.S.: Voted for Garrus.

Nobody mentions Mordin even though he's been in Salarian STG which is as similar an organisation to the Spectres as it gets.

@ Omicrone

I can't see Mordin as a Spectre. He was in the STG, but we don't know which rank he had. In my understanding he primaly is a scientist with some fighting skills, but not the kind of guy who can solve galactic problems on his own.

Are you crazy? She would just mind-rape the council to death. Except maybe the Turian. He would just dismiss her existence. Ignorance can save lives.

The obvious answer is, of course, Delan.

I agree with Garrus, but surprised no one mentioned Zaeed so far. He gets the job done, a good organizer, works well alone, a great fighter and that special spectre ruthlessness to get the job done.

Zaeed may have the skills, but Mordin said Spectres are badly paid. Zaeed wouldn't do it.

Garrus has the best chance of becoming a Spectre, but probably the one who'd be the most effective as a Spectre is Mordin.

Like when he got his whole team killed:D

I voted Thane IMO most skilled & honorable squadmate you get.
Plus i'm sure if Cerberus can bring shep back from the dead then curing Thane should be within within the realm of
possibility ;)

Of the squadmates, Mordin is the immediate choice since he's former STG.

The most suited of all characters we've encountered to be a Spectre would still be Kirrahe though.
