I just installed DA:O twice and have been getting this problem when I click the "Play" button in the startup menu.  Each time I try to play, the screen goes black and I get that pesky windows error window: "Dragon Age: Origins encountered a problem and needs to close."  I can either send an error report or not.

I've checked my video drivers, my DirectX drivers, and have been scouring the net for any sort of patch that might fix this problem.

I exceed the minimum hardware requirements for this game by a safe measure (a homemade i7 gaming supercomputer), so I'm assuming this is some sort of software incompatability.

Anybody else see this? 
Anybody figure out how to fix this?
