maybe you think that assassinations is quite vile thing? well, u know, this "killing as a profession" and etc... well, im not gonna judging any professions, but...I do like criminal persons, bad guys in the video games, but thane is such weird guy... he killing and praying!
and romance scene with thane just really bored! he's too quiet! Not any emotions! He just kinda creepy looking person!
Also, not using weapons was really stupid stuff.

Was a shame he didn't have a bigger role, more interesting background exploration, but that could be said for all characters.

I agree.  They all could have fit into the game beyond their 15 minutes of fame (aka, 'loyalty mission').

He is one of my favorite characters. The things I like about him are too numerous to count - from his background to abilities to voice.

The only thing I don't like about him is that he has very little role in the main storyline.

He didn't click with me. I found him fleshed out but his personality just bored me. And his retarded justification for killing had something to do with that as well. The memories thing was also annoying.

In battle he always dies quickly for me too.

So I guess I 'unlove' him.

I liked him, best of all the romance options for FemShep. His personality was really interesting, I thing, especially the religious views in the really secular universe that ME is.



I liked that he was honest, careful and seemingly controlled, rather than the uninteresting wimp that Jacob was.

Someone the game doesn't consider a romance, someone who kills you, someone who turns you down, someone who's effectively not in the game. Yeah, I got options everywhere.

Love, love his final scene with my Shepard, so touching, gives me goose bumps. I saved before and reloaded too many times, embarassed to mention how many.

You may not get an achievement for Kelly but you can only romance her if you don't romance others so I count her as a romance.

he has really good potential for more back story in me2 dlc and me3. Thane is awesome.

How does his storyline not fit?

Anyways, I'm pretty 'meh' about Thane. I had zero interest in pursuing the romance storyline even after talking to him. I have no problem with the assassin thing (usually a plus for me in fiction) but I was never drawn in to his character, and don't care for the whole dead wife-estranged son thing.

Even if I wanted to pursue the love interest angle I think I would just feel bad about it. He seems to find a sort of peace with his life in all my playthroughs, but if romanced, Shepard just comes in and turns that all upside down.

Superficially, his eyes kind of freak me out.

I just like him for his body. No in all seriousness, Thane is a pretty cool guy. Eh snaps nekcs and doesn't afraid of anything....but what I don't like about him is his romance. Actually I like him a lot more when I play dudeshep and he isn't calling me the petname he used for his dead wife even though I'm 100% off the market. I dislike pretty much every aspect of the romance but him as a character, yeah he's not bad. I actually kinda like those freaky flashbacks. Wild His Zalgo eyes though...yeah they freak me out too.

Found out he dies if you choose him as teammate (loyal btw) right at the door if you choose Miranda to do the Biotic bubble in the collector base. Miranda power weakens just before we hit the door and Thane gets "eaten" alive by the bugs. My opinion on him is neutral, i dont like or dislike him, never really used him.

I think he's ok, but the big problem is that, people sometimes get him last, or last next to Samara, and at that point of the game, we're tired of getting new people, and just want to talk more with the people we already now. Legion only survives this because he's too cool. The same can be said with his romance, since you feel like you're romancing someone you barely know.
