i can't get the hammer head to collect info,is this a new problem?,i have reinstalled it 5 times but can't get it to collect,whats wrong

try the V key, hold it and hover over the spot. The Directions said Mouse 2 for me but was wrong.

The directions are correct if you follow the instructions noted in the 1.01 patch changelog.
