Post one of the names you used for a character that has been inspired by some other character in a game/book/movie and let the forumites guess from where.

Purely original character names are nto allowed (since no one will be able to guess those)

I'll start..my first character will be named Aeolia. Can you guess from where the name is taken (without googling :P )

Post your guess as to the name source.
After each wrong guess an aditional clue is given to narrow it down.
Once the right answer is given, the one who guess right posts a name of his character that he wants others to guess (or leaves it to the next poster if he doesn't want to or doesn't have such a name).

I like the name, but I did have to google.

Amelia is the only one I picked from a book. Most of my Human names are family or nicknames. Karra is what my step-daughter used to call me when she was little, and Katie was my grandmother's name. Will is for my husband, Issabella is one of our dogs (blind, toothless and spunky) But the mean something to me. :) All of my elves are whatever the creator listed.

Heh...the idea is to post your guess as to the name source. After each wrong guess an aditional clue is given to narrow it down. Once the right answer is given, the one who guess right posts a name of his character that he wants others to guess (or leaves it to the next poster if he doesn't want to or doesn't have such a name).

That said, I have no clue from where you took Amelia, but it does sound familiar.

So to help thing along, a clue - the name is taken from a animated series.

I think the preselected games match very well with the enviroment of the game, and because for every origen there are different names, I think I will just go with the preselected names.

Alright Odd.

But if I hit my mark, I'd say you're a fan of the drow. ;)

Or not, depending on if the reference of the name is meant to be malicious or not.

Not at all a crime to have funny names to play fun characters, agree?

@Lotion Soronnar, did you take that name form Gundam 00? As Aeolia Schenberg was the founder of Celestial Being.

RE: Aeolia - I've watched a few anime shows, but I never remember names. I admit that the only one I watched on a regular basis is Avatar.

Amelia Peabody. :) An independent women in 1884 with enough money to do her own thing. Interested in Egypt and especially Egyptian pyramids. OK it's an adventure series with romance, danger and interesting places I'll never visit. :)

I have taken three names from two quite well known sources.

Selene (my mage)

Sonja (my dwarf commoner)

Geralt (my noble warrior)

Indeed. Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher. Now he will be Geralt of Highever.

No, not that Sonja. A clue: Sonja and Selene appeared in the same thing.
