The singularity spell is affected by a weird bug - if corpses are present, they will always destroy it and the singularity will turn itself off immediately. Impossible to play the game with this bug. Is there any way to tell the Unreal engine to despawn dead enemies immediately so that the corpses don't interfere with the singularity? Maybe the ME2Coalesced Editor can do that? Can't find the option there.
