Try it before you judge it at least. Bioware has several people working on many things and im sure one set of people made this and another set of people are working on everything glitchy about origins and awakening. Be cool everything's gonna be okay.

there better be LIs in this or i'm not getting it
Dude, darkspawn don't have LIs -- they have broodmothers.
They're not LIs, they're VIs (Vomit Inducers).

Alistair leading? We all remember what Alistair said about what happens when he leads, right? So I expect to see Alistair with no pants on, otherwise, won't buy! XD

Anyway, I think this could be a fun diversion. I'll probably get it, as long as reviews aren't too bad

Just as many people predicted, instead of getting even a short blip about a new patch, you guys got an announcement for a new DLC.
To add insult to injury, they even removed the old thread (about Bioware vs. Valve) where many people were asking for a new patch to make room for this new DLC announcement.
I hope this puts to rest any notion that there are separate teams for DLC and patching. Patch 1.03 was primarily a way to prepare DA for Awakenings. That alone should have clued you guys in that there are no separate teams.
Stop holding your breaths for a patch, and accept that this is the future of Bioware/EA.
They can't charge 400 MS pts for a patch.

Its a shame it could not just be a normal attack, which could then set up the next DLC where you play the Grey Warden once again.
With it being an alternate experience, its not going to actually be of any importance in the end.
But being able to create a Dark Spawn would be tonnes of fun. Does anyone know if this is possible?

On the dlc itself, I'm in two minds as to whether I'll get it, but I think it's a great idea and something a lot of people have asked for. To those moaning about it being unRP etc. it's just a bit of fun.
However let's hope this doesn't add to the long list of unfixed bugs.

This is in the same 'the villains victorious' vein as TFU's DLC was.
Frankly it's a good thing Bioware went with shady fantasy rather than going outright Dark - as this DLC is.
Because it looks like many of you simply can't handle it.

I wasn't sure how it would work as just a bit of fun, but..I dunno...seems a bit pointless the yway they have done it. I wish they had done it in a way I suggested in my previous post, as it would have made more sense.
This is just like the death ending in ME2. Fun for a few seconds until you realise it has no impact on the whole story.
Plus you don't get to create your own Darkspawn. I just think it feels like a quick way to make some easy cash.

Whoever says that this isn't good enough for a purchase is an idiot! So what if some guy made a similar mod? Bioware is sure to outclass it in leagues! Way to go Bioware lets hope for some PC continuation down the line.

Not to make waves. BioWare also did Neverwinter Nights 1.. I can honestly tell you this. Some of the modders made far better player made modules than Bioware managed with their OC, and expansions.. The amateur creations by the community can surprise you..

Okay, this will probably be the worse expansion yet. I just saw the trailer, and it looks like a hack and slash. Do the developers know that their gameplay sucks? If I wanted to play a hack and slash, I would play Demon's Souls because their engine is pretty much superior. I wonder who is leading this trash DLC. I wish they would patch up Origins and especially Awakening instead. I still have Awakening sitting in my harddrive waiting for a patch...
You've not played awakening because of a few minute bugs? God there's something wrong with you people...You're all too picky and stuck up ****s
