'Did you ever feel like playing Dragon Age as the Darkspawn, pounding in your former companion's skulls, WITHOUT the pesky 'role-playing' and 'dialogue'?' Err... no, I never felt like that, sorry. Pass.
Heh, me too. I think I'll end tonight's perusal of the forum on that up note.
LOL!

i for one am very grateful for new dlc, thanks bioware! For so long i been waiting for a whisper of upcoming stuff, finally i have something new to do in that game. Yes, ur buggy as hell, but most can be got around once you know the ropes.

No one has played it. It's not out until the 18th. It's not an origin story because you're a darkspawn--the not talking kind. You fight the battle of denerim to destroy the city and aid the archdemon, killing everyone your PC ever cared about. Good times.

This DLC makes no sense and just comes across as a pointless slow paced hack & slash cash-in. Instead it would have been better if your the Darkspawn and you capture one of your team members after the Archdemon was destroyed. This way it could set up for the next DLC mission where you would be back in control of the Grey Wardens in an attempt to rescue your friend.

Oh wait. Is this the darkspawn revenge against the wardens? Are they really that intelligent to organise a revenge attack? Oh , i almost forgot. It's a fun DLC.
Bioware, you can keep your fun DLC. Killing our wardens is NOT fun. For me anyway.

Still, it's a shame our characters died in the Joining. I would've liked to import my Warden. It'd make for an interesting final boss.

Play as a Darkspawn and defeat characters i have come to enjoy very much, especially morrigan?
I'm gonna have to pass on that.Sorry Bioware
THink about it mate, its what role playing is all about, hell it'll hurt like hell to go up against Morrigan and Alistair but its a pretty fressh concept and may give more insight to the Blight, a way of knowing your foes better in order to have an edge in battle and tactics... just a thought

If the hack'n'slash fest will give us any insight or provide any kind of story at all I'm going to eat my socks!MorseDenizen wrote...

If anybody wants to play as a darkspawn must be desperate to play in DAO. I for one will not be getting this as Bioware regards it as fun DLC. But not because that is what they say it is. But because no way am i going to kill my original companions just for the fun of it. It's sick to say the least.

I think you've forgotten ME2's pre-release hype. Being "dark" is the best thing since red lemonade!

Very dissapointing. I hate playing the side of evil so i will be giving this a miss. It is dissapointing cause I love this game. It is the best game I have played ever and to see the developement team spending their resources on a DLC limitng us to play as darkspawn is a missed opurtunity I feel. I just spent 30+ gaming hours hating them and defeating them, why would I want to play them???

Exactly Tezza...i think Bioware better think long and hard over their decision to release this as DLC. Most were looking forward to a companion DLC.
