What if Storys. That's absolutely not what I was hoping for next Dragon Age DLC's or Expansions.
I can't see any new Location in the Darkspawn Chronicles Trailer. I'm very dissapointed about this DLC.

Wow, this thread is booming, 20 pages in 12 hours. I don't know if my opinion is going to be seen by moderators or not, but I'll post it anyway.
I really love the Dragonage world. It's well done and very re-playable. I will probably buy "Darkspawn Chronicles" soon after it comes out. I look forward to seeing what else they come up with.
That being said, before more DLC is completed, it would be great if the DLC I already purchased worked completely. Warden's keep and Return to Ostagar and Stone Prisoner are all great additions. But everything you saved up from those packs doesn't work in Awakenings! Not to mention the little glitches in the expack itself. I'm disappointed that the designers didn't take more care to iron out the kinks, and I'm very concerned that this will end up like KOTOR 2, which never got finished.
Many of the items from SP and WK weren't supposed to transfer over according to the DragonAge FAQ on transferring items. The RtO stuff is supposed to though. My RtO stuff transfered over fine for me (I play DA: O on PC), but I haven't been able to access the new blood powers I picked up in WK, and I thought those were supposed to transfer.

I'm surprised at the number of tempests in this teacup. It's just a little $5 DLC that will be a bit of AU fun for some.
Seems that because Bioware thinks players have short attention spans, in Awakening we got paltry NPC interaction at contrived map points rather than Origins' immersive roleplay. RtO was poorly written and slapdash. If you keep shelling out $5 here and there for mindless junk, why should Bioware ever produce another epic, immersive game with expensive writers and voice actors?
I'm apathetic about this DLC because I have no interest in playing a darkspawn. But what I actively dislike is seeing a game world and characters I love used as props for a hack n' slash jerkoff. You have any one of dozens of MMOs that can provide you with that, if it's what you're after.
is everything about what you want? the dlc team came up with an idea for a what if scenario. oh no, let's jump off a cliff! it's not what i like! this is getting to the point of being ridiculous. how about voting with your wallet and stop acting like the end of the world is coming and bioware will refuse to make good games because they make dlc with less plot. it's a freakin dlc! it just adds to what is already there. i find it funny how so many people want these in depth, fully voice acted 5 hour dlcs for $1 or $2 or free even. dlc will never be as in depth as the game. never. it is too expensive time and money-wise for the price point to be made like that.

Seriously. Am I the only one who has had no problem with glitches on any of the DA games or DLC?
You and many other (but not all) Xbox gamers, apparently (and I guess a few PC gamers) are golden.
The rest of us have all had / are having various issues.

I do wonder though about the battle of Denerim- It was probably the poorest performing section (ps3) of the game, other than the initial Vigil's Keep assault in Awakenings- *ungh* Lots of slow-down and framerate stutter...

About DarkSpawn Orgin/camp..How about doin the Darkspawn as telepathic since they are bound by tainted blood. Here is somethin' that was goin thru my head:(1)start as hurlock.gen.shriek(human/dwarf/elf)in deep roads bein born by Brood Mother.(2)Fight your way to the top of food chain to determine your class(alpha/emmisary)and this could happen like Dwarven proving except bein done DS way(kill off your brethern).(3)Once "growing up" part is done,go look for Dark god and bash some dwarves.Meet the rest of Brethren (2 emmisary,2 alpha,Ogre, and 2 shrieks,u can add blight wolf(aka mabari)) and awaken the Dragon.(4)Time for war..so u and ur pack pop out in Kocari wilds and as u butcher humans u meet up with wardens.Wardens beat snot out of u(kinda like tower of Ishal Deja vu).(5) U are wounded and back in Deep roads..u get dream(order) from Dragon to stop Wardens by any means necesary...so ur first target is village Wardens end up in...and story goes on and on..Basiclly flesh out Dark spawn, their Orgin, and new skills and talents and u get very twisted version of Orginal
I was thinking something very similar. Quests coming from the archdemon calling to you, and any "choices" also being you taking on the role of the archdemon or deciding in the most primitive manner possible what order/how to carry out the archdemon's orders.
Make it happen!

Personally, I'd rather have a DLC where in an alternate universe Daveth survives the Joining and is part of your team, but that's me.

Well, you could always go start a Bioware Can Do No Wrong thread. I'm sure it will be good for the lulz and will keep you safe from having to read varying viewpoints on the game.bzombo wrote...

See, that is the difference between you and me. I may not pay for this, but I'd check it out if it were free.
I don't think AU stories are "nonsense", but I don't have a desire to pay for it. I'd rather have other stuff.

Edit: I just had a terrifying thought... What if this is the Leliana DLC I’ve been hearing about lately? What if the voice actress of Leliana (Corinne Kempa) will be in this DLC, because we will be able to kill the Origins companions?
I just hope to everything that is holy, that this is not the case!

it's not about having a viewpoint, it's about the sense of self entitlement on here and the constant complaining about everything. it's not any kind of useful criticism that will do anything of value. i could care less if you like the game or not. i'm just tired of this feeling by people that either the dlc is not done how they want it, bioware has become evil, and computer games are to be made just for whoever is complaining at the moment. all glitches are because bioware stinks and not because it is made to work on xp, vista, 7, dozens of video cards, macs, xbox 360s, and ps3s. then there's the people who hate profit and want bioware to give things away for free. it just gets tiring. i don't think bioware is perfect. they are far from it, but i know how to give some criticism of a game without being vague and just generally whining.Addai67 wrote...

Yes, some of these RPG wanks seem to be whiny bastards with an entitlement complex.
I'll probably end up buying this, if only because I enjoy the universe.

Right. And you're a troll. All the arguments against this have been articulate, unlike yours, I might add. The bugs introduced with Awakening make the game virtually unplayable for many, and require a certain amount of computer literacy to be partially avoided by others. People bought the original game for it's in-depth story, appealing dialogue and quality voice acting. Pretty much the opposite of this DLC.warden nino wrote...

Hmmm.... most people bought the game expecting it not to have game breaking bugs. Every game will have bugs, sure, but major ones need to be addressed as soon as possible, which has not happened. I'm sure many people, if they knew beforehand that there would be virtually no support whatsoever for fixing the game, wouldn't have bought it. It's not the game itself that people are upset about, it's EA/Biowares lack of any effort to fix it, instead focusing on PR, marketing, and rushing out more content. The fact that over six months later, they haven't even given us fixes for small, yet annoying as hell bugs like the dex glitch, shows that their priorities are solely on making as much money as possible from this game. There's nothing wrong with making profits, but there is something wrong when the game continually gets more dlc and nothing as far as fixes go. Simply pointing out the fact that they keep rushing out new content instead of fixing the game is not whining, it's simply pointing out that support should work both ways.

Hey bugs happend before, bugs will happen again..why? System and script fixes, multiple platforms and yer boss breathin' down ur neck.I mean I understand people want game they love to be perfect and frankly I do to.That's one of reasons I don't whine and moan but actually support the game I like
Supporting the game and company is fine, it's the fact that the support is not returned while more content is being rushed out that's the problem. Modders have fixed many bugs in the game, yet the company that actually made the game has done nothing to fix it. The bugs present since the release, some game breaking I might add, have not been addressed at all in over six months. I'd have no problem buying DLC if they would at least try to fix the game, but after six months I still can't make a pure archer because they can't give me a simple tweak to fix dex, that's just unacceptable.
