But....but....but....I'm really not sure I could kill Alistair....

I'm so torn. It sounds interesting - I'd definitely like to see the alternate universe point of view but....kill Alistair? I just...I don't know...

And funnily enough, I wrote a short after reading a prompt about Alistair being the only Grey Warden left in Ferelden. Kind of sounds like it might have been Alistair getting a glimpse into this alternate world!

and what do you think about this?????

I think that is the reason I will buy this DLC.  Bioware knows I like epic items.

Play as an ugly dirty smelly darkspawn? Ugh no thanks!

So I have to keep waiting for some more nice story and romance dlc...sigh...

Alistair and Morrigan have it coming anyway. I would gladly pay $5 to rip Morrigan in TWO!! I'm sure she would say something snarky and sarcastic as she's dying

I hope there are new lines for your old comrades, like a cut-scene or something.

I will buy it, dont know how it works out in the end, but interesting none the less. But do you get a party? Or is it more of strategy gameplay like in Denerim when we can call for allies help? DO we get a chance to customize the ... darkspawn?

Interesting.

I'll certainly be looking forward to it; I just hope it gets thoroughly tested prior to release and gets packaged with patch 1.04.

No thanks. Why do they refuse to build on our character's story? Oh well, I'll wait for the next one.

Sorry not my style, too much evil in the real world. It is not going to refresh my interest in the game. Why not try something that appeals to your base audience, rather than trying to market to a small segment of old and new. People attracted to new games are already on to newest game, they don't like to back up. Kudos on trying the different, but poor market research cancels those kudos.

They must show what happened with Sandal in order to seal the deal for me.

YES. If they have Sandal in this ripping some darkspawn up, then you've got a sale Bioware!

I'd be lying if I said I was going to skip this one, but I'd definitely rather be getting something to play with my regular PCs. I enjoy playing the bad guy well enough, but if that's the option they're trying to give me, I'd really rather have the chance to be traitorous or something.

I'll wait for reviews before I pass judgement (get/not get) on this one.

Im definitely skipping this one as well. Majorly disappointed:(

I have no interest in playing as a darkspawn or, perish the thought, Alistair (*brrr*).

A DLC that expanded and integrated itself into the storyline would've been cool. New companion, new quests or something.

I'll be buying two! That looks like fun. I wonder if the "levels" will revolve around killing the companions from the DAO?

Interesting. I have an AU fic with Alistair as the only Grey Warden and in charge of leading the party on my story alert list.

But I'm not sure if I want to beat my former companions. How am I supposed to roleplay mindless darkspawn anyway?

Think of this adventure as your adventure, but YOU were never around to take part. Dragon Age: Origins was always the tale of the Grey Warden you created and how he or she became the mightiest of Grey Wardens and stopped the Blight. This adventure takes place as if your Grey Warden had never existed.

You play as a hurlock vanguard and use your new "Enthrall" ability to recruit your fellow darkspawn as allies. Partner with shrieks, genlocks, ogres and more. You  will encounter characters from Dragon Age: Origins both party members like Alistair or Morrigan (for example) and NPCs who try to defend Denerim and stop the Darkspawn without your Grey Warden to guide them. As the darkspawn,  you will have to defeat them to destroy Denerim.

If you choose to play Darkspawn Chronicles you can unlock 3 new achievements and, if you complete the story, you unlock the powerful new BlightBlood sword that you can use in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins Awakening.

The Darkspawn Chronicles costs 400 BioWare or Microsoft points and will be available on May 18 for the PC and Xbox 360 and on the Playstation 3 with date to be announced shortly.
