Think J.J. Abram's Star Trek
I'd rather not. Star Trek 90210 really should not have been called Star Trek. "FIRE EVERYTHING"
"But we don't have a captain!" ... "We. Do. Now!" cheesey Myspace face pose.
YEY! Finally someone who liked the movie!
Oh, and Frogman, thank you very much for your rather insightful attempt to explain the concept of canon in the DAO universe... Very interesting indeed, even if you did end up confusing the heck out of me... and yourself it appears

Think of this adventure as your adventure, but YOU were never around to take part. Dragon Age: Origins was always the tale of the Grey Warden you created and how he or she became the mightiest of Grey Wardens and stopped the Blight. This adventure takes place as if your Grey Warden had never existed.
You play as a hurlock vanguard and use your new "Enthrall" ability to recruit your fellow darkspawn as allies. Partner with shrieks, genlocks, ogres and more. You will encounter characters from Dragon Age: Origins both party members like Alistair or Morrigan (for example) and NPCs who try to defend Denerim and stop the Darkspawn without your Grey Warden to guide them. As the darkspawn, you will have to defeat them to destroy Denerim.
If you choose to play Darkspawn Chronicles you can unlock 3 new achievements and, if you complete the story, you unlock the powerful new BlightBlood sword that you can use in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins Awakening.
The Darkspawn Chronicles costs 400 BioWare or Microsoft points and will be available on May 18 for the PC and Xbox 360 and on the Playstation 3 with date to be announced shortly.
Oh nice..a new item that you can use in both Origins and Awakening...good going. Item transfer was a problem before..I take it you guys have worked the bugs out on that one.
That will definitely encourage me to make MORE characters ...hehe 21 and counting

Wow, this thread is booming, 20 pages in 12 hours. I don't know if my opinion is going to be seen by moderators or not, but I'll post it anyway.
I really love the Dragonage world. It's well done and very re-playable. I will probably buy "Darkspawn Chronicles" soon after it comes out. I look forward to seeing what else they come up with.
That being said, before more DLC is completed, it would be great if the DLC I already purchased worked completely. Warden's keep and Return to Ostagar and Stone Prisoner are all great additions. But everything you saved up from those packs doesn't work in Awakenings! Not to mention the little glitches in the expack itself. I'm disappointed that the designers didn't take more care to iron out the kinks, and I'm very concerned that this will end up like KOTOR 2, which never got finished.
Many of the items from SP and WK weren't supposed to transfer over according to the DragonAge FAQ on transferring items. The RtO stuff is supposed to though. My RtO stuff transfered over fine for me (I play DA: O on PC), but I haven't been able to access the new blood powers I picked up in WK, and I thought those were supposed to transfer.
Oh ok. At least I have an official answer on that one. But the Warden Armor was awesome looking!

The problem I have with that is that they expect us to believe that the company that made the game can't do, in over six months, what modders have done in their spare time. Honestly I doubt Bioware has any say in the matter, I blame EA mostly, they are very bad for relasing buggy games that should've been tested more, just to rush onto the next game, in this case most likely ME3,DA2,ToR. Unfortunately not all of us play on the pc so we have no way to access these fixes made by the community, we're instead stuck relying on a company that has for the most part done nothing to fix this game in over six months. Yes, I understand thatit's different teams not one team for dlc and fixes, which actually makes it worse because it means that they've had six months to fix the game and have given us nothing. It's just disappointing that they expect us to support them when they've shown so little in return.Rykn wrote...
Cmon things aren't that bad. Bioware always tries everything they can to make the overall experience better. The way people make it sound is as if they are trying to screw us over but we all know that's not true. I know everyone is frustrated with the glitches in dragon age but that's no need to blow a top off. Creating games is hard and takes time. Fixing one bug can make 10 more bugs to appear out of the air in a second much harder to crack than the first.
We all love bioware (you can't deny it) so we should enjoy what we get and send them cookies for their hard work.
Just accept things and smile![]()

, the BioWare forums certainly do NOT represent some average customer base.
Of course not, like any discourse, it's the most vocal on either side, while the majority in the middle stay silent. Seriously, if this wasn't an exceptionally lax work week, I'd be lucky to have time to read the forums, much less respond.

They should give the Vanguard a voice...
So that if he is successful in killing Alistair at the end he says the following...
"HUMAN! You've changed nothing, you wardens have the attention of those far greater in number. That which you know as darkspawn are your salvation through destruction. You have failed! Behold I am the Vanguard of your destruction!"

I think I'll skip this one too. I hope to see something more of the history of the elves that is lost. Or travel to the land of qunari.

I always check the help.dragonage site first. They are by no means comprehensive, but they usually have an FAQ for most of the really big issues.
And yes it was nice looking armor.

Sometimes, it's cathartic to embrace your inner evil mastermind. Isn't that part of what the RP in RPG is for?
