LOL personally it would be amazing if this is how DAO2 started off with ferelden taken by darkspawn. OMG A campeign seperate from the original plot as a darkspawn in the secound one would be so kool. Darkspawn dont talk just make sounds so dialogue should be next to nothing and make it a fun distraction from DAO2 main plot. But owell doubt it'd happen.
Actually it would make for a good way to put in the prologue as it would explain game mechanics without infriging on the story/character development of the main character.

Glad to see you understand why DLC release is not tied to patch releases.
Bug fixes are categorized as game-breakers and minor bugs. Obviously, the game-breakers take priority. For example - the slow load between transitions was a breaker; Zev conversations and dex bug are annoying but won't break the game. Players can still get to the game conclusion without any major setback.
As I stated before, patch 1.03 was meant to go with Awakenings, not Origins. That's why patch 1.03 was bundled with Awakenings. Some "dim bulb" had the idea of releasing patch 1.03 separate from Awakenings without proper regression testing. As a result, it broke things in Origins.
While i appreciate you defend the company, those minor bugs as you call them can spoil the fun to a huge degree. And many modders were able to deal with them.
You cannot tell me that a company like BW is not able to deal with that minor bugs within a time period of a half a year. I won't believe that. They either do not care about fixing it or simply leave these issues to the community to deal for themselves. Both is neither promising nor good business by the company.
Yes, I know about modders being able to fix little bugs - I'm a modder myself. Unlike Bioware, however, a modder does not have to make fixes for other platforms (ie Xbox, PS and the other one). Bioware has to ensure that their fixes do not infringe or break any coding in the target firmware owned by Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo - it adds another layer of unit-testing and debugging. It would be improper to release a patch that only fixes bugs for PC's and not any of the other platforms.
Modders also don't have to do regression testing - that is, running through an entire playthrough of every origin and every decision choice to ensure that the "fix" did not break anything else in the game. This is by far the most time-consuming task.
Instead, and here we get back to the dlc, they tend to sell out more tiny little pieces which, and this is just my opinion, have nothing to do with the experience that made Origins fascinating and thrilling but just some stupid blood and gore hack n' slash. It just leaves the impression they do not care about all those tiny annoying bugs at all as long as they are enough who buy the next dlc. This is probably not fair for the dlc team, but that's the general impression i have of BW at the moment, and the current dlc is just strenghening this image and that is why i assume many people voice there anger here.
The release of DLC's has no correlation to patch releases. Would you prefer that they NOT release any DLC's before a patch? Would you be happy if they withheld the Leliana DLC until patch 1.04 is released? I for one am happy that they release new material every few months.
This DLC may not be your cup of tea - simple enough, don't buy it. I like the modular way that they built this game. I'd rather have DLC's that I can choose to buy or not to buy. This is better than the non-modular approach where we have to wait up to 3 years before anything new comes out. It makes for better replayability and flexibility - I can play what I want to play and try something different each time.

This is precisley why it annoys me so much because Bioware refuses to indicate if they're in the process of making a new patch or not. For some reason, they choose not to say "yes" or "no" - which I don't understand why.Trefalen wrote...

i will not consider this unless the game is patched first...and I don't mean patched to prepare DAO for DLC
Well the fact they brought this out instead of a fix for the patch and other problems is good indication one is NOT coming, nor do they see the need. Bioware is not getting another nickle from me until they do. That goes for any future bioware titles also. This is probably a tool they used to test da:o before launch and they decided to add content and sell it.
Yes, they are working on a new patch. DLC releases have no correlation to patch releases. Two different dev teams are involved here.
Personally, I like the fact that they're releasing DLC's while we await the patch. As for the content of DLC's, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

the very intresting thing it's the legendary item added in the inventary of any gamer in dao and awakening when he finished the darkspawn expansion
To each his own, it's actually the letdown for me. Yay more free game-breakingly overpowered items... <_<

The game-breakingness aside, in the gamespot interview its mentioned that the epic item is a sword called Blightblood. It would be nice occasionally if the DLC items were aimed toward mages and rogues, or if you could get a choice of that or warrior gear. There are loads of warrior specific items compared to the other classes.

But yeah... I agree, the majority of the "bling" seems to be aimed towards warriors...

Even better? An item for a game we have all played to death already? "sighs" so pointless. More pixel crack with out purpose. I personally would never make a new character for a useable item..
