I dont think it will effect the main plot. That would be so counter productive for a 5dollar DLC to completely kill off all your wardens you've made and reverse time. Then agian, knowing EA they might do it and make DC cannon DAO2 and all our work on our Wardens will count for nothing. Mwahahhaha.
Or maybe the warden recruit Pamela Ewing will wake up from her joining ritual nightmare aka DS Chronicles,
years after the siege of Denerim.

Lol your warden would be eaten my darkspawn or animals by then. All this talk about this Dlc invigorates me to get this DLC cause i really wana see how they add this in the game im assuming its pre awakening at the camp activated somehow...Or maybe a location.

A standalone adventure in which you command genlocks, hurlocks, shrieks,
and even the mighty ogres.
Standalone, as in 'not integrated into the oc'

well maybe the same fate as other dlc, xp or belated oc gear:
not for use outside the dlc campaign, in that case.
Or just like the specialisations: you'll have to unlock them just once to get them everywhere else...

You play Darkspawn Chronicles to see how sucky things could have been, then move on to the real game and get the mega-happy ending.
Or maybe take Morrigan's Deal and get the Scooby Doo ending.

I'd be almost happy.- not to speak of the mesh blacklist due to unresolved conflicts of
dlc gear vs xp gear wich additionally locks out loads of community mods[...]
Bottomline - no way I'm going to potentiallly add even more bugs to the existing hive
by purchasing that dlc.

I have a great idea for some DLC content,
make mutations of all the EA/Bioware people that could fix patch 1.03 problems, and let us kill them in the game for sporting fun?
this would give us their effigies to burn so to speak.
freeze and shatter EA's CEO, cast a death hex on biowares lead manager.
cast petrify on a group of EA's top bannanas, then cast stonefist to shatter them
cast inferno at EA's headquaters
backstab those greedy backstabbers at Bioware, shield bash the number crunchers at both EA and Bioware.
send shale in to squish some heads!
castrate them all and let God sort them out!
Gimme!

In addition, it will say that you should buy DA2 in which an Orlaisian Grey Warden (YOU) will have to stop the blight before they destroy Orlais just like they did in Ferelden.
Nah. It's in an alternative universe/timeline. You get to watch it happen, then you find Bobby Ewing in the shower, and realize it was all just a bad dream.
It makes sense to use it as canon ending for DA2 though. Because then you can´t import your Warden and they´ll save themselves a hell of a lot of work (or considering Awakenings, a hell of a lot of failure) that is caused by continuing all the different choices for each player.

WTF?! Playing as darkspawn? The in game dialogues are going to be epic considering the darkspawn don't speak. Alistair leading the wardens? There's guaranteed failure right there... this is like a retroactive Starcraft Broodwar. Great. So I make an entirely new character for the DLC then never use it again. Awesome. It might be a little more interesting if you start in the deep roads battling dwarves, march to the surface, pillage some human settlements, try to sabotage the warden's whole army-raising efforts and then slaughter them at the end, but to what end? Super. Let's go invade Orlais now, where they have a lot more wardens and a much larger military. How about they spend their efforts on a worthy expansion that people want to play?
Yeah I agree. This might be fun for 1 or 2 play throughs but I can't even imagine how short it will be. EA just trying to get every penny they can out of us
