Ah well. Maybe something to pick up down the track and play prior to Dragon Age 2 (when it's perhaps cheaper and packaged with other DLC).

Think of this adventure as your adventure, but YOU were never around to take part. Dragon Age: Origins was always the tale of the Grey Warden you created and how he or she became the mightiest of Grey Wardens and stopped the Blight. This adventure takes place as if your Grey Warden had never existed.
You play as a hurlock vanguard and use your new "Enthrall" ability to recruit your fellow darkspawn as allies. Partner with shrieks, genlocks, ogres and more. You will encounter characters from Dragon Age: Origins both party members like Alistair or Morrigan (for example) and NPCs who try to defend Denerim and stop the Darkspawn without your Grey Warden to guide them. As the darkspawn, you will have to defeat them to destroy Denerim.
If you choose to play Darkspawn Chronicles you can unlock 3 new achievements and, if you complete the story, you unlock the powerful new BlightBlood sword that you can use in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins Awakening.
The Darkspawn Chronicles costs 400 BioWare or Microsoft points and will be available on May 18 for the PC and Xbox 360 and on the Playstation 3 with date to be announced shortly.
+ New abilities - always fun
+ New items - always fun
+ New trofees - sort of a must these days, but I really don't care about trofees
+ New areas or at least new perspectives

The only pull for me is the reward you get for completing the content. At least that will add to my existing Dragon Age experience.

Better yet, give the Darkspawn player the option to cook Alistair. So that he's at least good for something...Lintanis wrote...
Whoever in Bioware came up with the idea to play as Darkspawn, can you make them taste Alistairs cookingso they know not to come up with ideas again

"Complete the module and unlock an epic Darkspawn item in DA:O and Awakening"
and what do you think about this?????
I think that is the reason I will buy this DLC. Bioware knows I like epic items.
But why? You can simply recreate any item (unless it has some really unique looks) in the toolset.

instant buy for wondering is it cross-compatible or only for Origins? (I would guess this would be like a weird dream sequence that knocks out the PC and they dream this up)
I agree it shouldn't be history it should be a dream sequence. Although a bug patch would of made me more happy cant wait to serve my darkmaster im interested in how there going to imply this would it be messed up if in the dream it shows your charater die???

The entire dream sequence thing helps with the idea of Crosscompatibility, but so far it makes the most sense to be put in Awakening, so you can go like "Here is what would have happened if you dies during your Joining"

I don't know maybe im just in a bad mood today(unlikely cause I made major progress in a paper this morning \\o/) but you made it seem even less appealing somehow.
